Happy Caturday Everybody! 😸……… My Actifit Report Card: July 18 2026

It’s Caturday! Cot and Cyle spent the day doing what they do best……sleeping!

We went outside this morning to take a look at what is likely a young bear’s scat. That invisible neon sign over our house is well at work! See @silvertop’s post for that neon sign!

Just this week, within the past 48 hours, we’ve had one-possibly two young bears (uh-oh….where’s mom? 🙀) Then night before last, we had a thunderstorm with lightning and rain. The next morning we woke up to skunk smell. Turns out the thunderstorm scared him into our garage through a small opening and he sprayed! 🙀😳 Then this morning while checking out the bear scat, this little guy appears….

Slowly, inch by inch, he comes closer….

He seems oblivious to us stand a few feet away!

He seems intent on something he’s smelling (not us, lol!)

You can’t see it but he is under an apple tree. Turns out opossums love fruit! 🤩😍

He must have finally realized we were there as suddenly he turned and scurried off into the woods!

It’s unusual for them to be out in the daytime as they’re usually nocturnal. I don’t mind them as they’re harmless and only live about 3 years if something doesn’t kill them first. He’s more than welcome to hang out at our apparent animal shelter! 🤣

This afternoon, we attended a celebration of life at our church for a gentleman who passed away in late June. It was a nice service, and as usually happens at things like this, you see so many folks you’ve not seen in a long while. Such as it was today.

We had later on, a nice video chat with baby granddaughter Olivia! She is such the busy little girl! She is growing up so fast. She turns one year old the middle of August-so hard to believe!
