Let Me Tell You A Little Story…… My Actifit Report Card: June 19 2026

Happy Friday!

Work was busy but I had both Lisa and our new coworker Marissa today, so it went smoothly. I am glad it’s done. Our trip tomorrow to see baby granddaughter Olivia is on the horizon. 😊

So now, let me tell you a little story.

Once upon a time, in a land not very far away, our son Bill ( before he met Agi) was alone and adopted a kitty. Not just any kitty, but one with lots of challenges. He was in the shelter and I imagine his possibilities for adoption were limited if any at all. Then kitty met Bill, and he adopted him. He was named Banjo. Banjo had a health concern; you see, he had feline leukemia and aids. Another kitty could not be housed with him because those diseases are contagious to other kitties.

Eventually, after Bill met Agi and they married, they adopted Phoenix whom you’ve seen in past posts.

They were okay together as the disease is species specific. They became best buds. As time marched on, Banjo would need to go to the vet because of health issues that would arise. He developed this chin irritation that no veterinary clinic could seem to diagnose nor really treat. He had to wear a cone as he scratched himself until he’d bleed!

Despite all of this, he was a good natured cat. Eventually, he lost his vision. He’d be like a bumper car navigating the house. He climbed stairs and everything, but sometimes he’d misjudge furniture. He just kept going.

The past few weeks, he’d taken a turn and wasn’t doing so well. Today has been a hard day on Bill and Agi for they were going to have the vet put him to sleep to end the obvious pain he was in. 😿

Pets are such a part of the family. It’s hard when they have to go. R. I. P. Banjo 😿 You will be missed!
