We Grow ‘Em BIG Here!……..My Actifit Report Card: April 6 2026
Yep-we sure do grow ‘em big! This tree is 10 feet from the front of my house. After ‘dating’ the tree, turns out this tree was just a seedling back when Christopher Columbus stumbled on the Americas back in 1492! There is a sister tree at the back of the house that’s just a hair younger. We’ve also got several more on our 5 acres. Pretty amazing for sure!
I ‘went up the hill’ to visit my friend whose husband passed away back in November. She’s very sad is struggling with grief and is overwhelmed with day to day stuff. I am happy to help. She says her granddaughter is supposed to come help. I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes nor insert myself into the middle. If she asks, I will be glad to do whatever she needs.
Once done there, I came ‘back down the hill’ and into Everson to visit the library and to the grocery to grab a certain type of peanuts that apparently only the grocer in Everson sells. Then I came home.
It’s been a beautiful day. All sunny and warm. I went outside after a session on the stationary bike, to walk around the yard. I’ve got something going on with my hip that makes walking a bit difficult at the present. I figured I couldn’t get into too much trouble in the yard! 😏
I found lots of stuff to look at. Here’s a digitalis plant that should bloom this year. It’s already about a foot in diameter and could reach a height of between 5-6 feet! What’s more is there is a second one just behind it. It’s smaller but should top out around 3 feet or so.
Enjoy the rest!
Here’s the first one for the season. I’ve yet to figure out just why God created this creature.
The sun hiding behind a small cloud as it is working its way to the horizon and impending nightfall.
That’s gonna be it for today. Take care and enjoy the rest of your day wherever you are! 🙏🌏🙏

BSB Matthew 28:8-15
So they hurried away from the tomb in fear and great joy, and ran to tell His disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” They came to Him, grasped His feet, and worshiped Him. “Do not be afraid,” said Jesus. “Go and tell My brothers to go to Galilee. There they will see Me.”
The Report of the Guards
While the women were on their way, some of the guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests all that had happened. And after the chief priests had met with the elders and formed a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money and instructed them: “You are to say, ‘His disciples came by night and stole Him away while we were asleep.’ If this report reaches the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.”
So the guards took the money and did as they were instructed. And this account has been circulated among the Jews to this very day.

Stopped by a different Home Depot at East Coquitlam.
It looks like we have a local shortage of blooms for sale this spring.
Disappointed again. 🌸
I'll be getting the veggie garden up and running.
Waiting until next week.

I am beginning to wonder if maybe they just didn't plant the smaller containers, kind of forcing us to buy the larger and pricier container type. Sneaky if they did that. I am going to hopefully next weekend, get a look at Lowes and see what they've got. If I run into the same thing, then it must be a conspiracy, lol! Take care sis! Happy gardening! !HOPE !LUV
I'm connecting the same dots....

Are the trees giant Sequoia? We have a few around the town and in Tilgate Park. They all seem to be of about the same size and probably about just over 100 years old. They were planted by landowners early last century.
No, it is a Western Red Cedar tree. You could probably consider it and 'Old Growth' tree, given it's age. All of the ones similar to this in age are of the same variety. It's pretty amazing when you stop to think about it. When we moved here in 2000, the tree had a circumference of of 17 feet, one inch. I haven't measured lately, but it's definitely a lot bigger than when we first got here. To date, that tree would be 534 years old! Crazy!
