As I was very late, I decided to take the old path, which was shorter, but it had been closed because the previous year several aspirants had lost their lives trying to cross it.

That path was difficult, but Rost had put Aloy through even more difficult training, so she was able to come out on top at the finish line. After placing her piece on the ground, many claimed that she had cheated, and others asserted that an outcast could not win the great test.

The judge at the end of the test said that it was true that a couple could never win the big test, but a brave one could. Unfortunately, those were her last words, as an arrow went into her chest. By the way, I had ninja-like reflexes to take this capture.

In the blink of an eye, the judges and some of the contestants died under the rain of arrows. Faced with such carnage, Aloy decided to intervene and gradually eliminated the bandits who had attacked.

As she approached one of the bandits she had eliminated, she noticed that they also had a FOCUS. But suddenly she felt a huge hand grab her by the neck and lift her up.

Before her stood a huge bandit, who seemed to be the leader of the attackers. With his hand, he squeezed Aloy's neck, strangling her little by little. Luckily, Rost appeared and prevented Aloy from dying, but instead he was the one who lost his life.

Aloy barely made it out of that encounter alive and, after recovering, went to meet with the matriarch Teresa. This matriarch was the only one who cared about Aloy and revealed to her that her origin was linked to a place called The Mother's Chamber, for it was there that she was found as a baby.

Inside the chamber, he discovers that he is actually the product of a great scientific effort to preserve the human race. He also meets HADES and GAIA, two AIs who will face off for world domination.

In the end, Aloy ended up with more questions than answers. Teresa knew those questions would not be answered in the sanctuary, so she convinced two other matriarchs to make Aloy a seeker, a rank that allowed her to go outside the sanctuary and explore the world.

After being named seeker, she went to the entrance of the sanctuary and there she met the newly appointed war chieftain, who treated Aloy with the same contempt as always. With no time to argue, a Corruptor attacked them.

The corrupter was an ancient war machine that should not be currently active, and which possesses an ability that allows it to control other machines. Luckily, it had a weakness to fire and, with a few arrows, Aloy took it down.

Searching through the traces of the Corrupter, Aloy found a part that the FOCUS identified as the component that allowed the machines to be controlled. When installed, the spear gains the ability to control certain machines.

Since theory without practice has no validity beyond the sanctuary gates, Aloy decided to put the new machine control device to the test. He silently approached a group of shepherds and with the spear controlled one of them.
