Just after the events with the climber and the pack of Vigias, Aloy and Rost were returning home and, as usual, the little girl ran a little ahead. Suddenly, a rock hit her head, making her bleed. The one who threw the rock was a village boy, who out of sheer contempt had made Aloy bleed.

That event was handled without violence, although it was always possible to resort to violence, but violence and revenge are not good for the soul. Rost, from afar, witnessed everything and convinced that Aloy's destiny was very cruel, decided to tell her about the test of the brave in which any child of the village could participate to become a warrior and, therefore, stop being an outcast.

To achieve his goal, ALoy trained day and night with the bow and spear until he came of age. He always had the help of Rost who taught him everything he knew.

With only a few days to go before the big village test, Rost asks Aloy to meet him at one of the entrances to the sanctuary. When we get there, we find him sitting by a campfire and he tells us to rest until nightfall because he had one last training session.

When night finally fell, we walked up to the big door and, with a whistle from Rost, they began to open. According to Rost, despite being outcasts, there are people who still value friendship more than new traditions.

Outside, the landscape changed completely and everywhere we saw machine corpses, ruins, fire and destruction. Rost charged me with finding the cause of this destruction and eliminating him to show him that Aloy was ready for the test of the brave.

It didn't take me long to find the Serrated Tooth that had caused such a fuss. And yes, that is what this machine is called, which would be a Puma or Jaguar. Making use of the knowledge passed down from Rost, I confronted and defeated the mechanical beast.

Having passed the small test, I was ready for the bigger test, the test of the brave. For this I must go to the village and present myself before the matriarchs and receive their approval. At the entrance I meet Rost who was coming to say goodbye, for he was convinced that I would pass this test and cease to be an outcast, which meant that I would never be able to see him again.

Not satisfied with what he told me, I promised Rost that we would meet again, no matter who opposed me. So it was with the phrase: “I'll find you” that I set off to the edge of the village, crossing a huge wooden bridge.

Once inside the village I met familiar faces and new people. The climber I had helped years ago gave me an appropriate outfit for the test. Elsewhere I found a person who carried a FOCO similar to mine, but when he saw me a noise in his head, he was scared and became nervous. I also met Erend, a peculiar character, who invited me to get to know the city of Merdiian.

After walking and wandering through the different parts of the village, I meet with the matriarch and she tells me to take my place in the ceremony of the flying lanterns. These lanterns are made by the mother of the aspirant, but Aloy does not have a mother, so the matriarch herself had made one.
