I don't think I would get on a train if I had to travel to an important business meeting in neighboring countries or in any city in Serbia. The risk of delay would be great 🙂
In recent years, a part of the railway network was repaired, the railway was modernized and new compositions were put into use on one part of the railway.
But I remember how it was 10 years ago, from Belgrade to Bar, the composition traveled around 20 hours.
There is a joke about the railway in Serbia and Montenegro.
When the Chinese heard that it takes 20 hours to travel from Belgrade to Bar, they asked if the country was as big as three Chinas 😅
I remember one trip by train, when I went to Makarska with my parents.
We had purchased seats in the compartment, but it happened that because of the summer holidays and the big crowd, someone sold the tickets twice.
Back then, we were sitting on the floor in shifts in the compartment, while the young people who bought double tickets and went to the sea, played the guitar and sang, drink, be happy.
Although the situation was on the verge of nervousness, it was not there. The trip was fun for us and we fondly remembered those young people, with whom we joined then.
Wow, these are quite terrible experience :)
