[ES/EN] Zingtober | Day #20: Rivals – Male Healer VS Female Healer

Hello friends of Holozing, this is my participation in the Zingtober 2025 for the Rivals theme. Among several ideas, I decided on something portrait-style as an announcement of opponents before starting a battle using 2 Healers, one male and one female.

Hola amigos de Holozing, esta es mi participación en el Zingtober 2025 para el tema Rivals entre varias ideas me decidí por algo estilo retrato como anuncio de contrincantes antes de empezar una batalla usando a 2 Healers uno masculino y otro femenino.

Forest Healer Male	Ocean Healer Female

For this Pixel Art I based it on a very retro fighting game poster, but with a Pokemon style with a male Forest Healer and a female Ocean Healer to practice the design of boys and girls with this style.

Para este Pixel Art me base en un cartel muy de juego retro de pelea, pero con un estilo Pokemon con un Forest Healer masculino y una Ocean Healer femenina para practicar el diseño de chico y chicas con este estilo.

I started by outlining the frame of the drawing and drawing the basic sketch of the male Healer's face with eyes, nose, mouth and hairline.

Empecé delimitando el marco del dibujo y dibujando el boceto básico de la cara de Healer masculino con ojos, nariz, boca y la línea del cabello.

Then I added the hair and neck.

Después agregué el cabello y cuello.

With the head done, add shading and highlights to give it depth.

Con la cabeza hecha, agregue sombra y brillos para darle profundidad.

With the head finished, I moved on to the clothing by making a sketch with the most complicated parts.

Ya con la cabeza terminada pase a la vestimenta haciendo un boceto con las partes más complicada.

I completed the rest of the outfit and added the other details to finalize the male Healer design.

Completé el resto de la vestimenta y agregué los demás detalles para finalizar el diseño de Healer masculino.

With the design of the male Healer complete, I began the design of the female Healer with the face, but with more delimitation to add the hair and more details.

Ya con el diseño del Healer masculina completado, empecé el diseño de Healer femenino con la cara, pero delimitando mas para agregar el cabello y con más detalles.

Since the hair was something else in the design of the female Healer, I went on to give more details to the head before starting on the hair.

Como el cabello era algo mas en el diseño de la Healer femenina, pase a darle mas detalles a la cabeza ante de empezar con el cabello.

Complete the head by drawing the hair and ears with all their details, but leaving the hair tails for later.

Complete la cabeza dibujando el cabello y oreja con todos sus detalles, pero dejando para después las colitas del cabello.

I went on to sketch the body and clothing, which was somewhat simple.

Pasé a hacer el boceto del cuerpo y la vestimenta, lo cual era algo sencilla.

I added the body details with some shadows and highlights as well as the chest logo.

Agregué los detalles del cuerpo con algunas sombras y brillos, además del logo del pecho.

With this done, I moved on to doing the rest of the hair.

Ya con esto hecho, pase a hacer el resto del cabello.

With the designs completed, I moved on to organizing the general design, bringing both Healers closer together a bit to move on to doing the animation.

Ya con los diseños completados, pase a organizar el diseño general, acercando a ambos Healers un poco para pasar a hacer la animación.

For the male Healer animation I gave him the blinking effect and a movement by lowering the design one pixel.

Para la animación de Healer masculino, le di el efecto de parpadeo y un movimiento bajando un pixel el diseño.

For the female Healer I made her wink and also lowered her by one pixel.

Para la Healer femenina hice que guiñara un ojo y también la baje un pixel.

Since there was still a line without a design when giving them that animation, I reduced the portrait frame by one pixel in height, added the background with the lightest color and put a VS from Versus in the middle to make it look like a fight ad.

Como quedaba una línea sin diseño al darles esa animación, reduce el marco del retrato un pixel de altura, agregué el fondo con el color mas claro y puse un VS de Versus en medio para que si pareciera un anuncio de pelea.

To finish, I added the name of the Zingtober theme and set the guides to cut the canvas and make it a more symmetrical image.

Para terminar, coloqué el nombre del tema de Zingtober y puse las guías para corta el lienzo y que quedara una imagen más simétrica.

Animation completed, just need to increase the size and that's it.

Animación completada, solo falta aumentar el tamaño y listo.
