[ES/EN] The Game Awards 2025 - All categories and nominees | My Predictions

With The Game Awards 2025 just days away, I was looking for a simple website where I could easily scroll through all the categories and nominations, with images to get an overview and idea of ​​the games that aren't widely recognized or that people haven't heard of. Wanting to compile a list, I made this post, and I also thought I'd share my predictions for who will win each category:

Game of the Year | Juego del Año

Starting with the most important and the one that attracts the most attention, I believe the winner will be Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, both for how good it was and for everything associated with it, such as being a small team without set working hours and with so much labor exploitation that reduced the lives of its workers to just work without a social life or any support. It would not only be a well-deserved award but also recognition that things can be done well.

Empezando por el más importante y el que llama más la atención yo creo que el ganador será Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 tanto por lo bueno que fue como por todo lo que se le relaciono como ser un equipo pequeño sin jornadas de trabajo con tanta explotación laboral que reducía la vida de sus trabajadores a solo el trabajo sin vida social ni facilitar, no solo seria un premio merecido sino un reconocimiento a que se puede hacer las cosas bien.

Best Game Direction | Mejor Dirección

Although Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was good, it's not a game known for its direction, and I think the real winner, Hideo Kojima with Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, being one of the most recognized directors in the industry, it would be strange not to award it to him, especially for making the sequel to a game that almost no one else could direct, with its premise of an Amazon delivery driver in a hostile world.

Best Narrative | Mejor Narrativa

A difficult category for me to predict because it includes games I haven't played but that catch my attention, so to judge the narrative, I can only give it to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 because it's one of the most important parts of that game.

Una categoría difícil de predecir para mí porque aquí entran juegos que no he jugado y que me llaman la atención por lo que juzgar la narrativa, solo se la puedo dar a Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 por ser una de las partes mas importantes de ese juego.

Best Art Direction | Mejor Dirección de Arte

A category with many very good art designs, but where almost none innovate in anything, I would give it to Hades 2 for managing to create very creative designs and settings with ideas as explored and seen as the underworld and the Greek gods.

Una categoría con muchos diseños de arte muy buenos, pero donde casi ninguno innova en nada, yo se lo daría a Hades 2 al lograr crear diseños y ambientaciones muy creativos con una ideas tan exploradas y vistas como es el inframundo y los dioses griegos.

Best Score & Music | Mejor Música y Banda Sonora

It's a very competitive category, but only one game had as many memes about how good it was and how much it deserved it as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and I'm writing this while listening to Lumiere in the background.

Una categoría con mucha competencia, pero solo una tuvo tantos memes sobre lo buena que era y que se lo merece como fue Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 y lo escribo mientras escucho Lumiere de fondo.

Best Audio Design | Mejor Diseño de Audio

My prediction for this is Battlefield 6 because one thing that is often forgotten is how complicated the sound design of a game that depends on this sense can be, despite it being a game that I didn't try because modifying the Kernel and ARC Raiders isn't included here.

My prediction is for Troy Baker, already an eminence in this field, although he could lose against Charlie Cox and the rest of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

This is where I pay the most attention; of the games I've played, the Indies are the most popular, and setting aside the discussion of what constitutes an Indie game and what doesn't, this category will definitely go to Hollow Knight: Silksong. Their first game became a beacon for Indie games, and with its sequel, they shook things up and changed many things that game developers of any branch should learn.

In this category, my pick is Dispatch, a game that tackled the overused theme of superheroes but managed to deliver something entertaining with Waifus.

Best Mobile Game | Mejor Juego para Móviles

This year I've dedicated many hours to this category, using my free time between work and personal matters, and in my opinion, Umamusume: Pretty Derby will win. It's not just because of its worldwide boom after the release of its global version, but also because of what it represents beyond being a game. It showcases the stars of a sport that isn't as popular these days, and it inspires actions like donations to several of the real horses, demonstrating that people on the internet are still kind.

Una categoría que este año le he echado muchas horas al poder usar el tiempo libre entre trabajo y cosas personales y a mi parecer esta categoría la ganara Umamusume: Pretty Derby no solo por haber tenido su boom mundial después de lanzarse su versión global sino por lo que significo fuera de ser un juego, dando a conocer a esas estrellas de un deporte que en esto tiempo ya no es tan popular en el mundo y que causa varias acciones como donaciones a varios de los caballos reales, como una muestra que en internet la gente sigue siendo buena.

Best VR/AR Game | Mejor Juego de Realidad Virtual o Aumentada

This is the category I'm most out of touch with, so I don't know which one will win or what the criteria are for choosing it, and if I had to choose one based on its trailer it would be Ghost Town.

La categoría donde estoy más desconectado así que no se cual ganara ni cual son las pautas que se usan para elegirlo y si tuviera que elegir uno por su tráiler seria Ghost Town.

Best Action Game | Mejor Juego de Acción

A very important category, but difficult to predict, so without having played it I think it will be given to Battlefield 6 as it is the game that best defines the word action.

Una categoría muy importante, pero difícil de predecir por lo que sin haberlo jugado pienso que se le dará a Battlefield 6 al ser el juego que mas define la palabra acción.

Best Action/Adventure Game | Mejor Juego de Acción/Aventura

I would give this category to Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, that game which I would call one of the forgotten ones because it came out after the previous Game Awards, but which is one of the best adventure games to play.

Esta categoría se la daría a Indiana Jones and the Great Circle ese juego que yo llamaría de los olvidados porque salió después de los anteriores Game Awards pero que es de los mejor de aventura que jugar.

Best Role-Playing Game | Mejor Juego RPG

For me, the best RPG game, and one that embodies that word so much that it hurts how unfair it can be, is Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and I would be upset if it didn't win.

Para mí el mejor juego RPG y que representa esa palabra tanto que hasta duele de lo injusto que puede ser es Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 y que me molestaría si no gana.

Best Fighting Game | Mejor Juego de Lucha

Another category like VR/AR, which I'm completely out of touch with despite knowing the franchises of most of the nominees, I have absolutely no idea who will win.

Best Family Game | Mejor Juego Familiar

This category is also called the Nintendo award and I only know that Donkey Kong Bananza or Mario Kart World will win (but I'm only sure that Nintendo will sue me).

Without having tried most of them, the one I liked the most was Tempest Rising although I didn't play it that much.

I'd give it to Rematch or Mario Kart World to annoy those who are fans of EA Sports FC 26 and F1 25.

ARC Raiders received few nominations, but wherever it appears it should win its category, especially since it's not nominated for Best Audio Design and it's one of the best things ever done.

The only one I played was Despelote and I don't want to say just anything when this category operates with more complicated intentions.

This category will probably go to Fortnite, but I would give it to No Man's Sky to see if they understand that we have already forgiven them and stop releasing free stuff.
