Continuing my journey this season to find out how far I can go in Splinterlands' Survival mode represents one of the most tactical and psychological challenges for any player. Unlike conventional modes where cards are infinite resources, here each battle is a management of assets where defeat, and even victory with casualties, can seriously diminish your operational capacity. After having documented my initial rise from Bronze III to Bronze II, my goal focused on reaching Bronze I, testing not only the power of my deck but my analytical capacity in the face of increasingly aggressive matchmaking.

Siguiendo con mi camino esta temporada para averiguar qué tan lejos puedo llegar en el modo Survival de Splinterlands representa uno de los desafíos más tácticos y psicológicos para cualquier jugador. A diferencia de los modos convencionales donde las cartas son recursos infinitos, aquí cada batalla es una gestión de activos donde la derrota e incluso la victoria con bajas puede mermar seriamente tu capacidad operativa. Tras haber documentado mi ascenso inicial de Bronce III a Bronce II, mi objetivo se centró en alcanzar Bronce I, poniendo a prueba no solo la potencia de mi mazo, sino mi capacidad de análisis frente a un matchmaking cada vez más agresivo.

The premise of my strategy was based on preventive reconnaissance. By observing the last confrontations and the avatars of my opponents, I could identify when I was facing players with superior collections (Gold Foil cards or maximum levels). In those scenarios, the logic of survival dictates that one should not always fight with everything. Using level 1 Archons teams and reward cards from the Conclave Arcana set became a necessary shield. This controlled sacrifice tactic allows protecting the key pieces of the collection while navigating the turbulent waters of the low ranks, where bots and veteran players tend to be constant obstacles, but this time I wanted to depend less on that strategy to try to play against any player and test myself before trying to climb to Silver III.

La premisa de mi estrategia se basó en el reconocimiento preventivo. Al observar los últimos enfrentamientos y los avatares de mis oponentes, pude identificar cuándo me enfrentaba a jugadores con colecciones superiores (tarjetas Gold Foil o de niveles máximos). En esos escenarios, la lógica de supervivencia dicta que no siempre se debe pelear con todo. Utilizar equipos de Archons de nivel 1 y tarjetas de recompensa del conjunto Conclave Arcana se convirtió en un escudo necesario. Esta táctica de sacrificio controlado permite proteger las piezas clave de la colección mientras se navega por las aguas turbulentas de los rangos bajos, donde los bots y los jugadores veteranos suelen ser obstáculos constantes, pero esta vez quería depender menos de esa estrategia para intentar jugar contra cualquier jugador y probarme antes de intentar subir a Silver III.

Reaching the doors of Bronze I with more than 30 cards disabled has allowed me to extract valuable data. The matchmaking system is unforgiving, and the difference in ranking points can be abysmal, facing opponents who surpassed me by more than 1000 points. However, persistence and the intelligent use of RNG (random number generator) through coherent teams even when they are low level demonstrated that progress can be made without having to risk the integrity of the entire collection at every turn.

Llegar a las puertas de Bronce I con más de 30 tarjetas deshabilitadas me ha permitido extraer datos valiosos. El sistema de emparejamiento no perdona, y la diferencia de puntos de ranking puede ser abismal, enfrentándome a oponentes que me superaban por más de 1000 puntos. Sin embargo, la persistencia y el uso inteligente del RNG (generador de números aleatorios) mediante equipos coherentes incluso cuando son de bajo nivel demostraron que se puede progresar sin tener que arriesgar la integridad de toda la colección en cada turno.

This ascent is not just a matter of numbers, but of resistance. The final goal is not only to move up the league, but to reach it with a functional deck that allows competing in the higher levels. Bronze I is only the prelude to what will come in Silver, where the management of the Dark Forest of survival will become even more implacable.

Este ascenso no es solo una cuestión de números, sino de resistencia. La meta final no es solo subir de liga, sino llegar a ella con un mazo funcional que permita competir en los niveles superiores. Continuing from yesterday in Bronze II, I was able to reach Bronze I in 23 battles with 4 defeats, losing some good cards compared to the previous time where most of the defeats were on purpose.

This time with my arrival at Bronze I and avoiding my strategy of using Archons and expendable cards, more than double the cards have been depleted, this time being 77, but it was something predictable since the higher I go, the more competent opponents with better collections I would encounter; however, with the passing of a few days, several of those cards will be ready to fight in Survival again.

Esta vez con mi llegada a Bronze I y evitando usar mi estrategia usar Archons y tarjetas prescindibles ha hecho que más del doble de tarjetas queden agotadas siendo esta vez 77, pero era algo predecible sin entre más alto me podía encontrar con oponentes más competentes y con mejores colecciones, pero con el pasar de algunos días varias de esas tarjetas volverá a estar listas para pelear en Survival.

CONCLUSION

If I continue with this progression, I can end up in Silver I before the end of the season, which would open the second experiment of trying to reach Silver I but using only the low-level cards I have, meaning reward cards and Foundations, in addition to some cards from Rebellion, Conclave Arcana, and other sets of which I have a few copies.

Si sigo con este progresión puedo terminar en Silver I antes de terminar la temporada lo que abriría el segundo experimento de intentar llegar a Silver I pero usando solo las tarjetas de bajo nivel que tengo osea tarjetas de recompensa y Foundations además de algunas tarjetas de Rebellion, Conclave Arcana y demás conjunto que tengo unas pocas copias.
