This season, apart from playing more in the Survival format to collect data and search for a better strategy for future seasons, I have also been playing in the Modern format. Although at first I started to spend Energy before the bar was completely full and wasted when I couldn't play in the Wild format, this has evolved into trying to climb the Modern leagues by testing the Giants cards from Escalation to find out how good they are at the level 1 that I have, using them along with my cards from that format, which are mostly Foundations and reward cards, in addition to some from the Rebellion and Conclave Arcana sets.

Esta temporada, aparte de jugar más en el formato Survival para recolectar datos y buscar una estrategia mejor para futuras temporadas, también he estado jugando en el formato Modern. Aunque en un principio empecé para gastar la Energía antes de que se llenara completa la barra de esta y se desperdiciara cuando no podía jugar en el formato Wild, esto ha evolucionado a intentar subir en las ligas de Modern probando a las tarjetas Giants de Escalation para saber qué tan buenas son en su nivel 1 que tengo, usándolas junto a mis tarjetas de ese formato que son en su mayoría tarjetas Foundations y de recompensas, además de algunas de los sets Rebellion y Conclave Arcana.

Taking my collection into account, and despite having the Rebellion reward cards mostly at their maximum levels, I was limited to the levels of my Foundations Archons which only reach level 4. Therefore, this would be a significant disadvantage if I climb to higher leagues against opponents with Archons at their maximum levels.

Since I hadn't played in Modern for a long time, I started from Bronze III with 300 points, but I have been able to reach Bronze I so far with 18 battles, where I had interesting fights and was able to test my skills in a format I have touched little lately. I didn't know what kind of teams I would face, although due to that lack of history many of my battles were simple against opponents with lower-level cards, but others were also against opponents with a greater amount of resources.

Battle Vs Eco19

My first Modern battle of this season was against a team with mostly Gold Foil (GF) and mostly reward cards, but with a lower Archon level, which told me that the matchmaking was looking for opponents with similar collections but that I could still find surprises.

In my next battle, I faced an opponent with Archons of the same level as mine but using only Foundations cards, which gave me to understand that either I was facing an enemy who had no other cards or that they prioritized the level of their cards over variety or strategy with more synergies but lower level.

Mi siguiente batalla me enfrenté a un oponente con Archons de mi mismo nivel pero usando solo tarjetas Foundations lo cual me daba a entender o que me enfrentaba a un enemigo que no tenía otras tarjetas o que anteponía el nivel de sus tarjetas a variedad o estrategia con más sinergias pero de menor nivel.

With this victory, I reached Bronze II, which was quite fast with only 3 consecutive victories with 2 on a streak. In an easy battle, despite my opponent using a clever strategy with Void, I overcame them with levels and by also anticipating their magic damage in the backline.

Con esta victoria llegué a Bronze II, lo cual fue bastante rápido con solo 3 victorias seguidas con 2 en racha en una batalla fácil. A pesar de que mi oponente usó una estrategia inteligente con Void, lo superé por los niveles y previendo su daño mágico en la retaguardia también.

My fifth battle was my first defeat against an opponent with their Archon at the same level as mine but with cards I didn't have, using an interesting strategy of resisting with Taunt and Triage, a common strategy but one I expected to see at these league levels.

In my journey through Modern, I saw that the Bloodline Tribute strategy was very good at increasing the power of my team, which helped win battles with aggressive teams. But in this battle, my enemy saw that and used a Final Rest, which served as a wake-up call not to depend solely on that strategy.

En mi recorrido en Modern vi que la estrategia de Bloodline Tribute era muy buena al aumentar el poder de mi equipo lo que ayudaba a ganar las batallas con equipos agresivos. Pero en esta batalla mi enemigo vio eso y usó un Final Rest, lo cual me hizo el llamado de atención de no depender únicamente de esa estrategia.

With this battle, I managed to climb to Bronze I while on a streak, which makes it easier to continue climbing to Silver III at least before the end of the season.

Con esta batalla logré subir a Bronze I estando en racha, lo que me deja una facilidad para seguir subiendo hasta Silver III por lo menos antes de terminar la temporada.

CONCLUSION

With these battles, I discovered that the best strategies to try to continue climbing were using Bloodline Tribute to boost units of the Undead and Rodentian lineages with the Earth and Death elements that have several cards of that lineage; using Marlai Singariel with a magic damage team; and using the Giants from Escalation while the rest of the team resists enemy attacks, especially with the Earth element and Forlorn Geomant.

Con estas batallas descubrí que las mejores estrategias para intentar seguir subiendo eran usando Bloodline Tribute para potenciar unidades de los linajes Undead y Rodentian con los elementos Tierra y Muerte que tienen varias tarjetas de ese linaje; a Marlai Singariel con un equipo de daño mágico y usando a los Giants de Escalation mientras el resto del equipo resiste los ataques enemigos, en especial con el elemento tierra y Forlorn Geomant.

Since for now I give priority to the Wild format to spend my Energy because it is where I get more Glints and SPS, I will focus on climbing there to Diamond I so that next season I can try to reach Champion III and get the Diamond leaderboard rewards. Therefore, after climbing to an intermediate zone in Diamond to avoid dropping too much in the final days' battles when trying to complete Daily Rewards, the energy I save will be used in Modern, trying to do two things: climb to Silver so as not to be so low in the leagues next season, and additionally perform more than 100 battles to try to win a reward from the Bronze or Silver leaderboard next season. If I get any interesting rewards in the Silver chests, I will sell them and buy Escalation packs or specific cards that can help me climb.

Como por ahora le doy prioridad al formato Wild para gastar mi Energía porque es donde consigo más Glints y SPS, me concentraré en subir allí a Diamond I para que en la próxima temporada pueda intentar buscar subir a Champion III y conseguir las recompensas del Top de Diamond. Por lo que después de subir a Diamond a una zona intermedia para evitar bajar mucho en las batallas de los últimos días cuando intente completar las Daily Rewards, la energía que me ahorre la usaré en Modern, intentando hacer dos cosas: subir a Silver para en la próxima temporada no estar tan abajo en las ligas y además hacer más de 100 batallas para poder intentar ganar alguna recompensa del Top de Bronze o Silver en la próxima temporada. Si en los cofres de Silver consigo alguna recompensa interesante, la venderé y compraré packs Escalation o tarjetas específicas que puedan ayudarme a subir.
