A few days ago, the Survival mode returned with the start of this season, and I spoke about its effect on the markets and my thoughts on that first day; but I also mentioned that I wanted to test this mode. However, since I wanted to see how far I could go, I did not start playing as soon as it began because I wanted to see where the majority of players gathered and, with it, the greatest possibilities of finding battles with balanced enemies and the best rewards.

Hace unos días volvió el modo Survival con el inicio de esta temporada y hablé de su efecto en los mercados y de qué me parecía ese primer día; pero donde también dije que quería probar este modo pero que, al querer ver qué tan lejos podía llegar, no empecé a jugar apenas empezó porque quería ver dónde se reunían la mayoría de jugadores y, con ello, la mayor posibilidad de encontrar batallas con enemigos equilibrados y las mejores recompensas.

In my publication Splinterlands - Survival - Impact on the Market and Battles, I mentioned that the majority of players were in the Bracket XI – Expert - Automated where Bots were allowed, but I wanted to see if there would be any change over the days; and there was an increase in all modes, but the majority of players remained in Bracket XI – Expert - Automated.

I did not only wait these days to see where there would be more players; I also did it because since Survival is a very Hardcore mode that locks cards upon losing, I wanted to let the most enthusiastic players with the most resources play during the first days, or the crazy players who entered to test crazy strategies just for laughs, and thus let them go up or down to the leagues where they should be, thereby facilitating my battles without losing cards against teams far superior in resources to mine.

No solo esperé estos días para ver dónde habría más jugadores; también lo hice porque, al Survival ser un modo muy Hardcore que bloquea tarjetas al perder, quería dejar que los jugadores más entusiasmados y con más recursos jugaran los primeros días, o los jugadores locos que entraron a probar usando estrategias locas solo por las risas, y así dejar que subieran o bajaran a las ligas donde deberían estar y así facilitar mis batallas sin perder tarjetas contra equipos muy superiores en recursos a mis equipos.

This mode allows the use of cards of any level without limitation, so it is better to use cards at their maximum levels; but if one has cards at lower levels, they can be used without problem, which suits me well since, despite renting many cards with all the Archons that I usually use at their maximum level, I have cards that are not at their maximum level but are good despite that and end up being the key to several of my victories. This means that if I lose some battles, I will be able to use cards even the cards I have at level 1 to fill the positions if I lose many battles, serving even as decoys for the enemies.

Este modo permite el uso de tarjetas de cualquier nivel sin limitación, por lo que es mejor usar las tarjetas en sus máximos niveles; pero si se tiene tarjetas en niveles más bajos, se podrán usar sin problema, lo que me viene bien ya que, a pesar de alquilar muchas tarjetas con todos los Archons que suelo usar en su máximo nivel, tengo tarjetas que no están en su máximo nivel pero que son buenas a pesar de eso y llegando a ser la clave para varias de mis victorias. Another advantage of waiting a few days is being able to see the Leaderboard list to know which Bracket to enter to calculate things such as how many players who entered have managed to play more than 100 battles, which helps to know how long they will take to find opponents. Seeing which players are at the top allows for a lot of information, such as the level they play in other modes, if they are recurring players you play with, and how many chances of winning you have, or watching the battles to get an idea of what you may face. But it must also be taken into account that this list only shows players who have played more than 100 battles in that mode during this season, not the 100 best players; that is why one must pay close attention when viewing this list because players who have lost 100 battles may appear and be in Bronze, or players who have won 99 battles and are in very high leagues like Diamond or Champion may not appear on the list.

Otra de las ventajas de esperar unos días es el poder ver la lista de Leaderboard para saber en qué Bracket entrar para calcular cosas como cuántos jugadores de los que han entrado han llegado a jugar más de 100 batallas, lo que ayuda a saber qué tanto tardarán en encontrar contrincantes. Ver qué jugadores están en el top permite saber mucha información, como el nivel que juegan en otros modos, si son jugadores recurrentes con los que juegas y qué tanta posibilidad de ganar tienes, o ver las batallas y darte una idea de lo que puedes enfrentar. Pero también hay que tomar en cuenta que esta lista solo muestra a los jugadores que han jugado más de 100 batallas en ese modo durante esta temporada, no los 100 mejores jugadores; por eso hay que tener mucha atención al ver esta lista porque pueden aparecer jugadores que han perdido 100 batallas y estén en Bronce, o puede que no aparezcan jugadores que han ganado 99 batallas y estén en ligas muy altas como Diamond o Champion, pero que no aparecerán en la lista.

OPINION

Already with all this information, I can start playing, but I have to manage the time between playing the Frontier mode and the Wild mode, and add this new Survival mode, even if only for a few days until I lose all the cards I can use; but I want to test how different it is to play against other players who know that if they lose, they will not be able to use their cards, in addition to seeing how much can be won in this mode using the same cards I already use in other modes.
