Vince Gilligan con solo 2 episodios nos da una serie que toca un tema muy profundo y controversial y es el concepto de una mente colmena pero desde un ángulo más dramático que abre la discusión sobre que sería una mente colmena y como cada espectador la ve desde:

• A special kind of Skynet or mastermind fed with the information of all assimilated beings, where each body is merely a robot that it individually controls, or beings subordinate to it.

• Individual beings with the knowledge of all assimilated beings simultaneously.

• Among other hypotheses from the enormous variety that have been created on the subject.

For my part, it's a complicated topic. While watching these first two episodes, I thought of these beings as a mixture of minds in a tank, similar to dissolving the bodies of the assimilated in a tank of fluids. Technically, they're there, but they're no longer what they were. For me, each person is defined by their memories, experiences, and properties, so by giving them the memories or experiences of others, they're creating something else—a kind of amalgam that I find hostile. That's how I saw these beings as the series progressed, because their way of expanding seemed aggressive to me, forced. But the last few minutes of episode two made me think they weren't so united and that they were individual beings coerced by the group consciousness. This opens up many questions for the following episodes, adding to my curiosity about the relationships and interactions of the other Immune beings with the assimilated, and why they are also immune.

Por mi parte siendo un tema complicado mientras veía estos 2 primeros capítulos yo pensaba en estos seres como una mezcla de mentes en un tanque de la misma forma que si disolvieran los cuerpos de los asimilados en un tanque de fluidos técnicamente están allí pero ya no son lo que eran ya que para mí cada persona son sus recuerdos, experiencias y propiedades por lo que al darle los recuerdos o experiencias de otros están creando otra cosa una especie de amalgama que me resulta hostil y así veía estos seres mientras pasa los minutos en la serie porque su forma de expandirse se me hace agresiva al forzarla pero los últimos minutos del episodio 2 me hace pensar que no están tan unidos y que son seres individuales coaccionados por la conciencia grupal y esto abre mucha incógnitas para los siguientes capítulos sumando a la curiosidad de ver la relación y interacciones de los demás Inmunes con los asimilados y por qué también son inmunes.
