From the very moment the Frontier mode was announced and the Foundation set was introduced, I mapped out a clear goal in my roadmap: to achieve completion. Today, I can finally say I’ve closed that chapter. It hasn’t been a simple path or one based purely on luck; it has been an evolution of mindset. What began as curiosity for a new mode with this basic set, turned into a strategic necessity to face the best players in the format. Completing the basic Foundation set (not counting the elusive Jackpot, which we will discuss later) marks the end of a preparation phase and the beginning of my true offensive in the rankings.

Desde el mismísimo instante en que se anunció el modo Frontier y se introdujo el conjunto Foundation, tracé una meta clara en mi hoja de ruta como jugador: alcanzar la completitud. Hoy, finalmente, puedo decir que he cerrado ese capítulo. No ha sido un camino sencillo ni puramente basado en la suerte; ha sido una evolución de mentalidad. Lo que empezó como una curiosidad por el nuevo modo con este conjunto básico, se terminó convirtiendo en una necesidad estratégica para poder mirar de frente a los mejores jugadores del formato. Completar el set básico de Foundation (sin contar el elusivo Jackpot del cual hablaremos más adelante) marca el fin de una etapa de preparación y el inicio de mi verdadera ofensiva en el ranking.

The subtle but lethal difference of the maximum level | La sutil pero letal diferencia del nivel máximo

Many players, especially those who stay in intermediate leagues, often think that the difference between a card at the penultimate level and one at the maximum level is minimal. Sometimes it’s just one more point of speed, one more of health, or perhaps a secondary ability that isn't always the most important. However, when your goal is to climb to the very top of the Frontier mode, those minimal differences feel like an abyss.

Muchos jugadores, especialmente los que se mantienen en ligas intermedias, suelen pensar que la diferencia entre una carta en nivel penúltimo y una carta al nivel máximo es mínima. A veces es solo un punto más de velocidad, uno más de salud, o quizás una habilidad secundaria que no siempre es la mas importante. Sin embargo, cuando tu objetivo es escalar hasta lo más alto del modo Frontier, esas diferencias mínimas se sienten como un abismo.

In the heat of battle, where the meta is ultra-optimized, that extra speed point decides who strikes first in a mirror match. That extra health point is what allows your tank to survive with 1 HP to receive a critical heal in the next round. While trying to enter the elite group, I realized I couldn't afford to leave anything to chance. Every stat counts, and having the complete Foundation collection at the maximum level gives me the peace of mind of knowing that, if I lose a battle, it will be due to strategy and not because my cards fell short by an insignificant margin.

En el fragor de la batalla, donde el meta está ultra optimizado, ese punto extra de velocidad decide quién golpea primero en un duelo de espejos. Ese punto de salud extra es el que permite que tu tanque sobreviva con 1 de vida para recibir una curación crítica en la siguiente ronda. Al intentar entrar en el grupo de élite, me di cuenta de que no podía permitirme dejar nada al azar. Cada estadística cuenta, y tener la colección Foundation completa al máximo nivel me otorga la paz mental de saber que, si pierdo una batalla, será por estrategia y no porque mis cartas se quedaron cortas por un margen insignificante.

Strategic opening and the market | La apertura estratégica y el mercado

To achieve this goal, I had to make a difficult decision: open the Foundation Packs I had been accumulating and protecting for a long time. My original plan was to save them until the arrival of Book 2 of the campaign, under the premise that perhaps those packs could contain or interact with the new cards yet to come. However, the ambition to be competitive today outweighed the patience of tomorrow.

Para lograr este objetivo, tuve que tomar una decisión difícil: abrir los Foundations Pack que había estado acumulando y protegiendo durante mucho tiempo. Upon opening this large reserve of packs, the fortune was mixed. I managed to collect all the copies needed to bring my Rare cards to the maximum level, which greatly strengthened my consistency in mid-mana battles. However, Epics proved to be the true bottleneck. Despite the massive volume of openings, the copies simply were not enough to reach the level limit. It was at that moment when determination prevailed over luck: I went to the internal market and bought every missing copy until the last line of the bar on my cards glowed with the color of the maximum level. The investment was considerable, but necessary to professionalize my deck.

Al abrir esta gran reserva de sobres, la fortuna fue mixta. With the base of my deck finally solid, my focus shifts entirely toward performance on the battlefield. My immediate goal is to enter the Top 50 of Frontier players, either this season or the next. I feel that I now have the right tools to compete on equal terms against the veterans. The Top 50 is just the first step; once consolidated in that position, my gaze will be fixed on the Top 10, a territory inhabited only by those who master every interaction of the game.

Con la base de mi mazo finalmente sólida, mi concentración se desplaza ahora totalmente hacia el desempeño en el campo de batalla. Mi objetivo inmediato es entrar en el Top 50 de jugadores de Frontier, ya sea en esta temporada o en la próxima. But the ambition doesn't end in the ranking. At the collection level, I still have pending matters. The Extra or Jackpot mini-set of Foundation is my next major acquisition goal. I know these are difficult cards to get and require exceptional investment or luck, but completing them would be the crowning achievement for my account.

As of today, my resource strategy changes again. Now that I don't need to spend more to complete the basic set, I will go back to saving every Pack I earn in my daily rewards. This reserve will have a double purpose:
