The fourth episode of It: Welcome to Derry premiered with a very impressive performance, showcasing a turning point in the story where the plot advanced significantly, addressing several major storylines and leading to revelations and clashes between many characters. It surprised viewers with moments that in other stories would only appear in the final moments; here, in the fourth episode, we already have them, such as:

El cuarto episodio de It: Welcome to Derry se estrenó siendo muy impresionante mostrando un punto de inflexión en la historia donde la trama avanzo mucho con varios de los frentes mas importantes llevando a las revelaciones y colisiones de muchos personajes con otros sorprendiendo con momentos que en otras historias se verían en los últimos momentos aquí en el cuarto episodio ya las tenemos como:

The children's evidence | Las Pruebas de los niños

With the end of the previous episode, the children's storyline concluded with their objective achieved: obtaining tangible proof of Pennywise in the form of a photograph. Many would have thought that It would attack them the next moment, but it didn't. This allowed this "group of losers" to get the information to the police, hoping to free Ronnie's father and shift the focus of the police to It or that suspect disguised as a clown. However, the town's skepticism and racism rendered their efforts futile. Nevertheless, that photo played a subtle role in the episode's progression, connecting Charlotte Hanlon (Will's mother) with Rose (the Native American woman). Meanwhile, Will is attacked by It, which alerts Leroy (Will's father) to the power of the weapon he seeks. While the group of losers analyze what they have experienced and how It works, leading them to use drugs to avoid fear, they are mocked by Pennywise when he attacks Lilly's friend, being unable to help her and becoming the one responsible for the damage that It did to her.

The storyline of Hank Grogan has an important point because it is a separate storyline from It, even though it is his fault. It shows how bad the town is and how it could lead to future conflicts with Lilly, who could now be blamed for the crime at the movie theater or be Hank's true alibi, which could cause a bigger problem for Charlotte Hanlon trying to help.

Meanwhile, General Shaw intensifies his search after Hanlon's visit, leading to the episode's biggest revelation:

La historia de los militares avanza en especial a los amigos de Dick Hallorann consiguiendo un refugio donde estar tranquilos creando un ”Bar” que los que leyeron el libro o saben uno de los eventos más conocidos siendo un incendio en un bar, mientras Dick empieza a tener mas visiones por sus poderes mientras el general Shaw intensifica su búsqueda después de la visita de Hanlon lo que causa la revelación más grande del episodio:

Revelation of the Origin of It | Revelación del Origen de Eso

The episode reveals the origin of It when Dick Hallorann uses his powers on a Native American captured by the military, revealing the tribe's secret, kept hidden for generations. Its arrival on Earth is depicted with some changes from the book's storyline, where the reason for It's presence in Derry is different. Here, It is a kind of stone that blocks the entry of worse beings through a weakened area of ​​reality, a sort of cage that contains It. But most importantly, the episode reveals the only way to kill Pennywise. The Native Americans reveal the existence of a ritual dagger made from a fragment of the same asteroid stone. This dagger is described as the weapon capable of neutralizing It.

El episodio nos revela el origen de Eso cuando Dick Hallorann usa sus poderes con uno de los nativo americanos capturado por los militares, mostrando el secreto de la tribu que ha guardado en secreto por generaciones siendo la llegada a la tierra de Eso con algunos cambios en la historia del libro donde la razón de permanencia de Eso en Derry es diferente y siendo Eso una especie de piedra que bloquea la entrada de seres peores por esa zonas debilitada de la realidad por una especie de jaula que retienen a Eso pero lo más importante es la revelación de la única forma de matar a Pennywise. The asteroid fragment dagger establishes a clear mechanism for defeat, giving the characters a concrete goal and a hope, albeit a dangerous one, for the rest of the season.

Este momento es el mayor desarrollo argumental del episodio. Al revelar el origen de Eso, la serie se conecta directamente con la mitología cósmica de Stephen King (Maturin la Tortuga, el macrocosmos). La daga de fragmento de asteroide establece un claro mecanismo de derrota, dándole a los personajes una meta concreta y una esperanza, aunque peligrosa, para el resto de la temporada.

OPINION

The series has laid the groundwork for the second half of the season, where the search for the dagger will take on great importance for the military and perhaps the children if they find out, but they will also focus on the search for the totems that imprison It, since manipulating or moving them will be the cause of other events that are known to happen in the future, especially focused on the abandoned house that we already saw in the movies, concluding with the direct confrontation with the entity at the end as the central plot or the re-enclosing of It's cage with the totems.

La serie ha sentado las bases para la segunda mitad de la temporada, donde la búsqueda de la daga tomara una gran importancia por parte de los militares y tal vez de los niños si se enteran, pero también se centrarán en la búsqueda de los tótems que encierran a Eso lo que el manipularlos o moverlos sean la causa de otros eventos que se saben que pasaran en el futuro especialmente enfocado en la casa abandona que ya vimos en las películas concluyendo con la confrontación directa con la entidad al final como la trama central o el volver a cercar la jaula de Eso con los totems.

For now, this is my favorite episode, although they've made some changes to the story. Perhaps these changes are just a different approach, as it maintains the idea that It is just a special kind of predator hunting in its area, but perhaps eliminating it will bring worse beings, not just a creature that seeks to feed, but a more malevolent entity with more dangerous objectives for everyone.

Por ahora, este es mi episodio favorito, aunque han creado algunos cambios en la historia. Tal vez estos cambios solo sean otro enfoque ya que mantiene la idea de que Eso es solo unas especial de depredador cazando en su zona, pero tal vez eliminarlo traiga a seres peores, no solo un ser que busca alimentarse, sino a un ver mas maligno con objetivo más peligrosos para todos.
