A few weeks ago, I decided to stop opening Foundation Packs and compete in the Frontier format with a team using Foundation cards limited to level 3 Archons. This is a problem when facing opponents with max-level teams, but I want to save the Foundation Packs to open when new Foundation cards are released. Even though matchmaking usually gives me balanced matches, I've still had to face some very strong opponents. Despite this, I managed to break into the top 200, though I'm currently hovering around the top 250. It's been a fun experience, especially facing opponents in the top 100 in my quest to break into the top 50 and earn extra rewards. Along the way, I've faced several players in that top 50 (though this is constantly changing). I wanted to mention some of these matches where the top rankings are a bit clearer, as we're just a few days away from the end of the season, such as:

Hace unas semanas, me propuse no abrir más Foundations Packs y competir en el formato Frontier con un equipo con tarjetas del conjunto Foundations limitadas a los Archons de nivel 3. Lo cual es un problema al enfrentar a oponentes con equipos en niveles máximo, pero, quiero guardar los Foundations Packs para abrirlos cuando salgan tarjetas Foundations nuevas. Y esto a pesar que el emparejamiento de batallas suele darme batallas equilibradas, aun he tenido que enfrentar a enemigos muy fuerte pero aun así logre entrar en el top 200, aunque hora esto rondando el Top 250. Está a sido una experiencia divertida, en especial al enfrentar a enemigos en el Top 100 en mi búsqueda de conseguir entrar al top 50 y ganar recompensas adicionales. Con lo cual, mientras estoy en ese camino me he enfrentado a varios de los jugadores de ese top (aunque esto cambia constantemente). Quería comentar algunas de estas batallas donde el top, esta algo más claro ya que estamos a pocos días de terminar la temporada, como:

I faced eatyouup a few days ago when we were at a score of 3200 with my level 3 team VS his max level team and I was able to win thanks to predicting the enemy team to counter the enemy team with Spellmonger to distract and damage the enemy Sherringham Logger, while my Dread Tafarian withstood the attacks of the enemy Twice Yester Knight and Celestial Guardian, while my Great Bear Druid damaged the enemy Twice Yester Knight with his double attack thanks to the Rulesets of Maneuvers and without Twice Yester Knight I was able to eliminate the rest of the team more easily.

Después me encontré otra vez con eldon1 pero esta vez volví a usar a Spellmonger para dañar a los enemigos, aunque aumentaban su daño por What Doesn't Kill You pero mi Vicious Quilliun.

Another battle against a max-level team, but my mana optimization on damage per round and taking advantage of the ruleset of Born Again gave me the victory.

Battle 1

A battle where there was the Ruleset that granted Divine Shield to all units, where I took advantage of using a team with as many units as possible to get the most out of it by absorbing the most attacks, in addition to using several cards with magic damage to avoid the armor.

Una batalla donde estaba la Ruleset que le otorgaba Divine Shield a todas las unidades, donde aproveche para usar un equipo con tantas unidades como podía para sacarle su máximo potencia al absorber la mayor cantidad de ataques, además de usar varias tarjetas con daño mágico para evitar la armadura.

Battle 2

The second battle against Cryptochibi was with the Keep Your Distance Ruleset where I couldn't use cards with melee attacks and was at a disadvantage when using cards with magic damage, so I had to depend on cards with ranged attacks or no attacks at all. Thanks to that, I created a team of the Fire element that could attack as many times as possible, even if it wasn't much damage, against an enemy that prioritized the damage of each attack over the number of times it attacked.

La segunda batalla contra Cryptochibi fue con la Ruleset de Keep Your Distance, donde no podía usar tarjetas con ataque cuerpo a cuerpo y con desventaja al usar tarjetas con daño mágico, por lo que se tenia que depende de las tarjetas con ataque a distancia o sin ataque, Gracias a eso, cree un equipo del elemento Fuego que pudieran atacar tantas veces como pudiera, aunque no fuera mucho daño, contra un enemigo que priorizo el daño de cada ataques sobre el número de veces que ataca.

Clarification | Aclaracion

These battles are an example of how even a team that isn't at its peak can face and beat the best players in this format. Of course, I also lost battles against them—and I'm sure there were more losses than wins—but that was due to intelligence, cunning, a difference in card collections, luck, or my opponent's stress. I still managed to win, and that can happen to any new player starting out who doesn't have a large or high-level collection.

Estas batallas son un ejemplo de con un equipo que no está a su nivel máximo puede enfrentar y ganarles a los mejores jugadores de este formato. Y obviamente también perdí batallas contras ellos y seguramente fueron mas que las batallas que gané, pero por inteligencia, astucia, por alguna diferencia de la colección de tarjetas, suerte o por el estrés de mi oponente. Igual, le logre ganar, y eso le puede pasar a cualquier jugador nuevo que empiece y no tenga una colección grande o de muchos niveles.
