While the PC version has received praise for its visual aesthetic, this review will focus specifically on the Android version, and much of the information I'll provide for the PC version can be extrapolated. Adapting a demanding combat system, one that emphasizes parrying and fluid action, to the touch controls of a mobile device raises some big questions. We'll be examining the game's performance, the usability of the interface on the small screen, and whether the Android version manages to retain the atmospheric atmosphere and Souls-like difficulty that has defined the title on PC.

Si bien la versión para PC ha recibido elogios por su estética visual, este análisis se centrará específicamente en la versión de Android y se podrá extrapolar mucha de la información que daré para su versión en PC. Eastern Exorcist transports the player to an Eastern fantasy world plagued by evil spirits and demonic monsters. The game is set in a world where the line between life and death has been shattered, plunging the land into chaos. Players take on the role of skilled exorcists, warriors tasked with confronting these chaotic forces. The game offers two distinct narrative campaigns, each with a different protagonist, unique moves, and unique subplots:

Gameplay | Jugabilidad

The core mechanics are a fast-paced, tactical combat system that has often been compared to 2D Souls-like games such as Sekiro. Combat focuses on precision and stamina management. Parrying is crucial, as executing it correctly not only prevents damage but often allows for devastating counterattacks, essential for overcoming tough enemies, especially bosses. The player can unlock a variety of passive and active abilities to customize their fighting style by investing experience points earned by defeating enemies. The game emphasizes boss battles, which are the gameplay's strong suit: challenging and visually spectacular encounters that demand mastery of attack patterns.

La mecánica central es un sistema de combate rápido y táctico que ha sido comparado a menudo con juegos del subgénero Soulslike en 2D, como Sekiro. El combate se centra en la precisión y la gestión de la resistencia (estamina). El parry (desvío) es un elemento crucial, ya que ejecutarlo correctamente no solo previene daño, sino que a menudo permite un contraataque devastador, esencial para superar a los enemigos más duros, especialmente los jefes. The Android version of Eastern Exorcist, offered for free by Epic Games, is a technically solid Port. The impressive ink painting aesthetics and fluid animations of the original game are preserved, making this 2D Action RPG a visual spectacle on a mobile screen, but it brings the common problems in Ports of controllers, keyboard and mouse when moving to touch screens where normally 2 fingers are used, which complicates key combinations, although the response of the touch buttons is very good but adding this problem plus obstructing the vision with the fingers adds more difficulty and that happens in many fights against bosses or many enemies although it is a matter of getting used to it and for people who like this genre of video games or who want to try them.

La versión de Android de Eastern Exorcist, ofrecida gratuitamente por Epic Games, es un Port técnicamente sólido. La impresionante estética de pintura a tinta china y las animaciones fluidas del juego original se conservan, haciendo de este Action RPG 2D un espectáculo visual en la pantalla de un móvil, pero trae los problemas comunes en los Port de mandos, teclado y ratón al pasar a pantallas táctiles donde normalmente se usan 2 dedos lo que complica combinaciones de teclas, aunque la respuesta de los botones táctiles es muy buena pero sumando este problema más el obstaculizar la visiones con los dedos le suma más dificultad y eso pasa en muchas peleas contra jefes o muchos enemigos aunque es cuestión de acostumbrarse y para las personas que les gusta este género de videojuegos o que quieran probarlos.

OPINION

As a free game if you find it interesting you can take advantage and try it being a game with a size less than 2 GB of space with several positive points such as that it is not very demanding you can run it on almost any low-mid range device, with a double campaign with 2 characters (A Furry) and with a very nice art, but it has many negative points such as being too linear it is a pure sidescroller, not a Metroidvania which is monotonous, repetitive combats, many boring and annoying tutorials, narrative and localization problems by having voices in Chinese for people who are not used to the language it can take them out of the story due to the actors and tones in the conversations (something personal is not in Spanish neither voices nor dialogues and this takes me out a bit when understanding the translation with my bad English) added to the fact that most of the story is just the characters talking with little animation makes you care more about the fights than the story which is interesting.

Como un juego gratis si les parece interesante pueden aprovechar y probarlo siendo un juego con un tamaño menor de 2 GB de espacio con varios puntos positivos como que no es muy exigente puedes ejecutarlo en casi cualquier dispositivo gama baja-media, con una doble campaña con 2 personajes (Una Furry) y con un arte muy bonita, pero que tiene muchos puntos negativos como ser demasiado lineal es un sidescroller puro, no un Metroidvania lo que resulta monótono, combates repetitivos, muchos tutoriales aburridos y molestos, problemas de narrativa y localización al tener voces en chino para las personas que no están acostumbradas al idioma les puede sacar de la historia por los actores y tonos en las conversaciones (algo personal no está en español ni voces ni diálogos y esto me saca un poco al entender la traducción con mi mal ingles) sumado al que la mayoría de la historia son solo los personajes hablando con poca animación hace que te importe más las peleas que la historia la cual es interesante.

Jorel's Brother and The Most Important Game of the Galaxy

In addition to Eastern Exorcist, they are also giving away Jorel's Brother and The Most Important Game of the Galaxy only for PC, a Point-and-Click graphic adventure game based on a popular Brazilian animated series. Both games are available to claim for free until October 2. But I didn't play it because it doesn't catch my attention, despite having seen some episodes of the Jorel's Brother series, I don't feel like it will entertain me for now, even so, I added it to my library to try it out when I have more time.

Ambos juegos están disponibles para reclamar de forma gratuita hasta el 2 de octubre. Pero no lo jugué porque no me llama la atención a pesar de haber visto algunos capítulos de la serie Hermano de Jorel no siento que me vaya a entretener por ahora, aun así, lo agregué a mi biblioteca para probarlo cuando tenga más tiempo.
