Gameplay | Jugabilidad

A game heavily inspired by the grandfather of this genre, Slay the Spire, but lighter in tone, its core gameplay revolves around its battle system, which transforms poker hands (pairs, three of a kind, straights, etc.) into powerful offensive or defensive abilities. Each combination triggers a specific move, forcing the player to carefully manage their hand, deciding between an immediate weaker attack or risking a better combination for devastating effect. Unlike other games in the genre, here you not only build a deck of abilities but also master probability and poker hand management. The roguelike element is evident in the branching paths of the map and the permanent or temporary upgrades unlocked as you progress through each run, offering high replayability with three distinct heroes.

Un juego con mucha inspiración al abuelo de este género, Slay the Spire, pero mas ligero con un enfoque en el corazón del juego es su sistema de batalla, que transforma las manos de cartas de póker (parejas, tríos, escaleras, etc.) en poderosas habilidades ofensivas o defensivas. Cada combinación activa un movimiento específico, lo que obliga al jugador a gestionar cuidadosamente su mano, decidiendo entre realizar un ataque más débil de forma inmediata o arriesgarse a esperar una combinación superior para un efecto devastador. A diferencia de otros juegos del género, aquí no solo se construye un mazo de habilidades, sino que también se domina la probabilidad y la gestión de mano del póker. El factor roguelike se manifiesta en los caminos ramificados del mapa y las mejoras permanentes o temporales que se desbloquean a medida que se avanza en cada carrera, ofreciendo una alta rejugabilidad con tres héroes distintos.

I must say that hearing Poker in this type of game can put players off, either because they don't like poker or because it encourages gambling of this kind among children who might be attracted to this game because of its artistry or because it's free. However, the game could have used a different deck and explained the function of the number and color combinations in Poker, but instead, it simplified the game and made it fun with a very easy entry point to understand the mechanics from the beginning, allowing players to learn or focus on hand management and card combinations in subsequent turns.

Debo decir que escuchar Póker en este tipo de juegos puede echar hacia atrás a los jugadores ya sea porque el póker no les gusta o por fomentar los juegos de azar de este tipo en niños que les atraiga este juego por su arte o por estar gratis, pero el juego pudo usar otra baraja y explicar la función de la combinación de numero y colores del Póker, pero así lo simplificar y les resulto un juego divertido con una entrada muy fácil para entender las mecánicas desde el comienzo para después ir aprendiendo o centrarse en la gestión de la mano y las combinación de las tarjetas en los siguiente turnos.
