Hi there everyone!
After a few years that have passed like a whirlwind, during which I have been absent from the blockchain due to a heavy legal workload, I present myself:
Despite I've been around Hive Blockchain actually for more than 9 years, most of you won't know about me.
My name is Miguel A. Cabanes, and among other things, I'm a former soldier with 13 years of service (4 of them in my country's Military Rescue Unit and 6 months in the War in Afghanistan), an avid reader since childhood, and a writer with a small literary prize won in Bailén (Jaén) in 2016.
I've been an athlete since a young age (registered as a basketball player and triathlete) although my phisical condition shape is not at tis best now though.
I'm also (or I've been) a self-taught trader and investor.
In 2022, after voluntarily leaving my government job and celebrating my financial success, I embarked on a journey that began with backpacking through several European countries, with the goal of reaching the Philippines without flying, to buy a real estate property, and retiring in Southeast Asia, supporting myself there as a trader, investor/entrepreneur, or digital nomad.
However, things didn't go as planned and I ended up involved in a real estate scam and years of financial struggle and political events in Eastern Europe, more precisely in the country of Georgia, also sparked by the Ukraine-Russia War.
I will try to participate more now by posting some of my foodie and backpacking content.

Well, we know how life goes, with soome ups and downs (and in betweens),
Despite the unpleasant things and situations we all have to face throughout our life journey, remaining positive it's a must, and that it's a thing I haven't lost (not yet, at least),
New stage and new life begins now for me after closing that door that took me years to close,
