Splinterlands - To buy or not to buy?
Conclave Arcana is on the horizon and I’ll be going for a Silver (Intermediate) deck, but, I want to make sure I’m as competitive as possible when the modern format rotates on 15 May 2025. Chaos Legion will leave the environment and with it, the pool of players in modern will, probably, shrink in the short term as people move to wild and decide whether to buy into Conclave Arcana.
Using splintercards, I have put together a table of which cards I would need to take my Rebellion deck to silver, along with the costs for regular foil and gold foil to ensure that I’m looking at the best option and checking there are no offers on GF, I’m not sure I need to go to max silver for all cards and the money may be better sent on Conclave Arcana but I think there are some nice abilities that we can pick up and it may be also worth considering the upcoming bloodline abilities.

To take my deck to max silver would cost between $373.97 and $1,727.36 (ignoring the fact that there is no GF Demise Archon Faust on the market!), that’s way more than I can spend and still go for my Conclave Arcana presale plan. I definitely cant add a Tofu that’s for sure! But I do have other summoners at silver level that sort of compensate and I will look at where I am after Conclave Arcana before making any further summoner purchases.

That’s going to cost me $54.27, I can handle that for this week, maybe revisit next week if I can stay away from my coffee addiction.
Those additions, in my opinion put me in a much better position in preparation for the new Modern and will help me out in the tournaments and brawls I participate in.
Am I missing anything major? Do you think I made the right decisions??
We can’t forget that conflicts return for Conclave Arcana so even now investing in Rebellion gives some other benefit over just the rewards from playing with the cards and at my collection level every conflict point will help towards getting chances of those airdrop legendries. Hopefully we will get more information on conflicts in the coming weeks but i have a lot more Rebellion cards than i did during the last conflict so already need more wagons before we think about adding Conclave Arcana cards.
