It's been a while since my last post here. I try not to post nor share things here regularly, so whenever I come and share something, I hope I can come with some idea and thought that could be more meaningful.

So today I will something a bit provocative... You Won't Find Your Soulmate That Way... Well what's going on here?

Ok Let me help you more, that video is in Bahasa Indonesia regarding I am an Indonesian. It is about how much the proper minimum salary to be your husband. It is something that widely discussed not only in Indonesia, but I believe in whole around the globe. It has been a hot topic for years and maybe decades for young people, however recently I see this one is spiking up.

Spiking up in term of the current young generation, which I mean is the late Millennial and the Gen-Z are using unrealistic standards. In that video, the first woman said that she wanted a husband with atleast 3-5x of her salary. The second woman said that she wanted a guy with minimum 20.000.000 Rupiah.

Ok lets break this down. Where do you find a guy who has 5x of your salary? If you enter a company here in Indonesia, if you say 5x of your salary and you are a fresh graduate, atleast you will have only senior managers or C level that fit in your requirement. So was she telling us that only her CEO deserved her? lol

Then let's look at the second woman. 20 million rupiah is equivalent to 1200 USD per month. here is the deal, the minimum wage in Jakarta, the ex capital of Indonesia, right now is on $320 USD. The modus salary, which most people have it, is on around 500-550 UDS per month. If you get an opportunity working in big multinational company, you could get some pay around $800-900 per month. Only less than 5% of men in Jakarta manage to get above $1000 per month. So who would she marry, someone else husband?

Women always ask for ridiculous number, it has been happening from the past, but what worries me is not about what women ask. I have said it above, it is their standard that they set higher and as time progresses and new generation comes, it gets higher to a level which I see right now most of their standards are not feasible.

Realistic VS Real Realistic

This is always be the justification... What women ask for is realistic. They need to secure their future children wellness and education. They need husband with good pay so they can afford good school for their kids. Later on they will need to pay for house mortgage. When they family grow up, they will car so they can travel together as family.

So Fuck Off all of you poor low paid men, you guys who could not make money enough for happiness just buzz off and live alone for the rest of your live!

Well that's the core problem. People think themselves as someone special, that is not wrong however how they define special is the problem. Being special doesn't mean you have to get the best of the best or the top tier in everything.

Not everyone are bound to have their own castle, their big beautiful house that become their home. I see many people struggle in mortgage payment because they are taking house bigger than they could afford.

As parents, all want to give the best for their kids but it doesn't mean you have to able to send them to the best school, or the expensive one. If you are not that fortunate, it is not a wrong doing or something bad in your life. Everyone has their own journey, and unable to give privilege to your children are part of it.

Those are the thing that realistic. Being realistic is not about giving or storming people with justifications of your hope or desire. You want a rich guy, and that doesn't mean want a rich guy is being realistic. Being realistic is using the real data, the real fact in front of you and try to be realistic about it.

The different is simple, facts vs ideal or dreams.

Anyway about the money... the salary I mean... From past to now, some people trying to educate young generation about how much money a man should get before they try to start a family. It is a sad thing that recently they get bullied because Gen Z addresses them as the poor man defender lol. Some boomer who afraid their poor grand sons won't get a pretty wife because women getting smarter and pick the decent man, not rich, but decent which the pay is above those women parents lol.

Those people say that when your wage reaches above 1.5x of minimum wage, it doesn't matter where you live, you should be able to live decently above poverty and you can consider yourself no longer as low income people. You are in middle class. When you get twice of minimum wage, you should be able to start a family and won't fall from middle class.

However let's see the fact here. In Jakarta, twice of minimum wage is around $700, and how much that the girl in video wanted? $1250, which is almost doubled the number. This is why most Gen Z prefer to go with the viral social media one, young executive maiden believing they deserve those guys and those guys exist in great number.... yeah in your dream.

If those youngster do not learn this sooner, they will end up missing all their potential soulmate...

Whose fault is that? Well I think their parents and their besties have a great share of it. For you? don't be that parent or that bestie...
