What Legendary Units Should Be

Hello Summoners
I have been away from Splinterlands for more than half a week due to many reasons, and I am glad I have settled some issues and able to get back to this game again. There are some good battles I have found however today I am not about sharing a good battle or great battle of any victory I have required recently.
Today topic is about Legendary units. There is a Splinterlands post I recently read, it's from @thebighigg post here: https://ecency.com/@thebighigg/splinterlands-legendary-kervic-adds-some-bite-to-my-water-team-8xm and it is about Kervik, our recent legendary unit from water element reward edition. I will not be talking about Kervik here, but it is about what I have commented on that post...

Some of you might think I am underestimating Kervik, or overestimating certain legendary cards. I do not have the right words for this, let say those are not completely wrong or right. For old players like me, who have played splinterlands before there are separation between Modern format and Wild format, any single Legendary card could be a real game changer.
During those day, we did not have many selection of Legendary cards, so once we saw them, we knew what our opponents were aiming, or they knew what we were going to do with those legendary.
That is one of main reason why some people, not only me, sometime have a high expectation of what and how a Legendary card should be, which is carrying a whole team on his back, beating opponents' legendary cards...
So in this post, I will share a battle that I have lost badly against a bunch of Legendary units. It was not a good battle for me, but it was a good example for what legendary units could do or they should do in every battles.
The Battle
So this was the battle that I lost badly and made me think that keeping a high expectation on Legendary unit should still be ok. As you could see above, I had no Legendary Units on my team and they had 5 out of 6 units that were Legendary Units. So they were a team consisted almost all Legendary Units.
I would not do further intro or preface here, let's see how the battles started after the first round and how it ended later.

Their fire power was not so great, only 5 magic damage and 5 range damage. They even only put one effective units for their Execute ability which was on Rush Townsend. It looked like a mess up one. However they had a couple units with ridiculous speed which later became the main reason why my team got wiped out easily.

Basically nothing my team could do here, we could not even land any single attack to their main tank, Azhar Ibn Sulaim. It was a complete lost for my team. I don't think my line up was that bad, but the fact is that my line up could not compete with their legendary units.
Not All Legendary Units Are Legendary
The conclusion is that, not all legendary units are legendary, but there some that really could stand above all. In this battle, my opponent line up was a mess up but they had two legendary units that were out of the league

The first onw was Azhar Ibn Sulaim. He had 8 speed which later became 10 speed due to buffs. With extra defensive abilities phase and backfire, he turned himself as a formidable non attacking tank that kept sending backfire damage.
We could debate that they got lucky none of my attacks landed, but it would not deny the fact that he was too hard to hit on. In this battle, he was the example of how a legendary unit became indestructible tank.

We could consider Rush Townsend to be a glass cannon for having 4 health point only, and some might think why would this easily gets killed unit a legendary rarity one. This battle showed us that a glass canon still a cannon, it was a great weapon for mass destruction.
5 range damage with an execute ability became their main weapon and that solely killed most of my units in that battle. It showed how a legendary units should be, capable of killing a target everytime they made an attack.
Well that's what I can say about what Legendary Units should be. I know some of us here might have different opinion about it, so feel free to share your thought below. Anyway see you next time guys!

Good to have you back. Now why so much miss on Azhar Sulaim from your units? Secondly,I would start giving consideration to legendary cards,at the moment I don't have a single one.
And if I am to really move the ranks in modern ranked,I need to have some in my deck collections.75k glints for one is not easy to accumulate.
Anyway,I really enjoyed the replay,Azhar Sulaim was a delight to watch. Welcome back once again!🤗
