Same Meta, Different Approaches, Different Result

Hello Summoners
Welcome back to my Splinterlands post, I write a couple of Splinterlands posts everyweek because I like playing this game regularly. It's been more than 3 years of it and I think I will keep playing it for more years ahead.
Today I want to share something basic, often to happen or we frequently see this in our daily battles, maybe because of taking battles has become our daily routines, we tend not to see this.
I call this a same meta with different approaches.. end up differently. It means even we use same tactic, because of different approach or different units in our line up, we will end up differently.
Let's take an example here
This is my last brawl battle, both of us actually have same meta. In brawl battles, sometime we gamble everything on a certain unit, which of course the Gladiator Card, and expect that unit to be our core unit that will carry the whole team... by exploiting their Bloodlust Ability.
In this battle, both of us do that, and we have the same unit in our mind for that role, he is Chimney Wallstop

Chimney Wallstop is the right gladiator card for me, because he hits very hard, he has armor which will be very effective during weak magic ruleset. I think my opponent thinks exactly the same with me. However what is the different here?
The approaches are different. My opponent comes with a more defensive mindest. His team has a couple of meat bait, a unit that has low health point and you want them to be the target of your opponent opportunity attacks.
His lineup is solely depended on Chimney Wallstop, and definitely he is guarding that gladiator with many small units behind it.
What about mine? My line up is more simple, it is a straight line up. I do not come using 6 units, only 4 units and this is a huge gamble. In general having more units have higher rate of winning, especially during certain ruleset which one of them is this weak magic.
I do not bring any thick armored unit as if I do not want to exploit weak magic ruleset. But the idea is not like that, I just want a clean line up that focus on making the first killing.

And my approach is paid off. My Chimney Wallstop has made the first kill and he gets buff up there. Now he is comparable with my opponent Chimney Wallstop. In this position, my opponent is already in big danger.
His Chimney Wallstop is exposed and he has no support who have extra repair ability or tank heal ability.

And the worst is happened, my Chimney Wallstop kills my opponent's Chimney Wallstop. I do not need to prolong the battle discussion progress here, because once our Chimney Wallstop dies, our line up is crumbled.
I win this battle later on long round, but at this point their odd of winning has completely reached 0.
So What Can We Learn From This Battle?
Well both of us using same meta or same tactic, it's just how we set up defense and support are different. Different approaches definitely sets who the winner is.
In general this meta is quite dumb. It looks great on me because I am winning, but betting everything on a single unit is quite dumb. However undeniable it is the simple thing you can get from your head, and the funny thing is that the winning rate is not bad either lol.
And the las thing I can share is about focusing what you want to do in that battle. My opponent thinks too much about how his opponent will come. Well I do not know that for sure, however we use the same tactic so I think I have a bit of right to talk on behalf him.
Defense is great, however every walls are bound to be broken down if you do not support it. In my side, I only need one defense approach, which is the tank heal ability. The rest is about depleting opponent health, in hope that Chimney Wallstop will land the finishing blow.
The result is clear, It works well!
