Just a Quick Peek at My Indomie

Usually if I get bored and I have no idea what to eat, I just eat instant noodle. The most favorite one here is Indomie, sometime even we eat other brand, we are still saying it as eating Indomie.

So sometime if I get blank or writer block here, somehow I still can write some Indomie topic. Some might be bored about it but I do not and I know some of the people here on HIVE love Indomie too like I do.

Ok let's talk about my Indomie First.

Whatever the brand is, my favorite will be the fried noodle. It is the most frequent instant noodle I eat. I like the simplicity, easy to make, taste good, and I can take it everywhere whilst eating it. Can't do that with the watery or soup based such as ramen.

and from all the brands out there, Indomie Rasa Ayam Panggang is my most favorite one. In English it means Indomie with Grilled Chicken Flavors. You can see it is written JUMBO, because the portion is bigger than the normal one.

Some prefer the original taste over this grilled chicken one. I like the grilled chicken one because it taste is a bit salty, so if I add some ingredients into it such as eggs, vegetables, and crackers, taste still good.

The Others

Let's talk about other brands here. I will go really quick because I have some plans about writing them in detail one by one. But for now just a quick peek so people from other regions can have a bit clue about them first.

In the past, Best Wok was viral and claimed to have better taste than Indomie. I have friends who are die hard of this brand. In my opinion, BEST WOK has a distinctive taste and flavors, however It doesn't fit in my taste.

I can not say they have bad taste, I know they are good but for me... they are overpriced instant noodle with strong flavor. I prefer to have other brands than this one.

Sarimi and Mie Suksess are well known for being cheap. They are the instant noodles which always sold in pair. We can say that their price is half of the others. Do you think we can expect something good from cheap food?

The funny thing is that I like Sarimi, I think the taste is ok. I do not know whether it is coincidence or it is because of emotional history. I used to made some portion of Sarimi, same taste as the picture, Sarimi Rasa Baso Sapi (beef meat ball flavor), and put many things inside from meatball, vegetables, sausages and many things. Then we eat them toghether. I had done that in my college study time, and during some works in remote area. It tasted quite good and everyone liked it.

Mie Gaga is the hard one.

Last year there was a viral story that the owner of Mie Gaga was the real founder of Indomie and he got tricked and lost all. So he tried to get back his business by buildinga 100 Gaga Brands. It got massive supports and people buying these brands like crazy and start to badmouth and ditch Indomie.

But that was last year story. It did not last long at all. Business is business, food is food, if your food can not be accepted then it would not sell well too.

Mie Gaga is good for selling super spicy noodle. Personally I can not eat them, well I can but I can not enjoy eating them. I like spicy food but their spiciness is way above my tolerance.

The last one I share in this post is Mie Sedaap. There are other brands that I won't share them here in this opportunity. If there is a brand that can compete with the Indomie, it is Mie Sedaap.

They come with many flavor, even for the fried noodle, they have 5 flavors. Do I like them? Yes I do, I buy them more than I buy Indomie, because they keep introducing new taste and flavors and I like to try new stuffs.

Their taste in general are bolder than Indomie, and for that reason many Indomie consumers switch to this Mie Sedaap. Unfortunately I am still an Indomie fan despite I believe some Mie Sedaap is really good. There is one reason why I can't switch to Mie Sedaap, it doesn't matter how good their taste, I get bored with it after 2-3 times eating it.

With Indomie, I can eat them twice thrice a week, and keep going with them forever. Proven by years. But not with this Mie Sedaap, there are already some taste that I can not eat anymore because I get bored with it.
