It's Time To Pump Up Gladiator Cards Again

Greeting Splinterlands Summoners

I hope you are having some good days recently. We have some stupid war in the middle east, and sadly i can only pray for everyone safety.

Every few months I need to purchase some gladius packs using the merits point we get from THE BRAWL. This packs has been around from years ago, and the name has changed several times. From gladius to gladiator and from soulbound to eternal category. In the end this is the same time that we could use from exclusively Brawl only to all kind of rank battles.

I have 12 Foundations packs and 35 Gladius cases right now. Today we are not discussing about the foundation packs and their cards so let focus on the gladius cases now. 35 cases will give me 185 cards so I can expect a good boost on my selection this time.

So let see how they are, by 10 type of cards here.

The First 10 Cards

I get a mix feeling here. In general I should be very happy I have got two legendary cards there, Tatiana Blade and Fina Voxom. I haven't got any Tina Voxom before, so this should be a great addition to my selection.

But there is a but here lol. I am a gold foil fray brawler. What matters to me only Gold Foil cards, so I could get the benefit only from that single gold foil copy of Helmet Kharafax. Should I be happy with this?

Well that is my mix feeling right now...

The Second 10 Cards

The second batch of 10 cards is actually a better one. In this batch I get two gold foil cards and both are rare rarity. Cutter Breeze from the earth or green element, and Alfredo from water element. It's a bit funny because both are small mana cards.

Honestly I am happy with this batch, not because they are good but more like they are not flops.

The Last 9 Cards

Ok the last batch. I only get one gold foil of Alva The Crusher. This batch concludes everything today, as a bad gladius cases opening. From 185 cards, I only get 4 Gold Foil cards. I should be able to get 7-9 Gold Foil cards with 4% ratio from the potions. But well, RNG god is not on my side today.

UPGRADES

Whatever or no matter how bad the cases or packs opening, with 185 new cards, there should be some boost I could get for my Gladiators selection. In Random I will share them below, but not all... Because some are secrets, not for me but for my guild. If people study my selection and they can beat me, its their reward but not for gladiators because my guild should get the best from my efforts.

ok here some of them:

The first one, the fat lady of the water element. Alva The Crusher. She is a good one actually, as a tank she has shield ability and retaliate ability. However I see her as something useless, not because she is weak. It is just that water element has too many great tanks.

Well, you can say maybe she could perform as some good melee unit during Melee unit only? Then let's see the second one I want to share here:

This is one of everyone favorite, Isgald Vorst. Who needs Alva The Crusher if you have a strong or stronger melee unit such as Isgald Vorst. He is not a tank type melee, however due to that trait, he could fit in to non tank position.

The only weakness he has is his low mana requirement, which defines him not as a power house but more like a strong mid size unit.

If you want to have a smaller version one, for little league ruleset, you can use Alfredo here. I have my Alfredo leveled up today. I do not believe we can use him as a filler card, because it is a bit dumb to forfeit the use of gladiator card for a sake of getting a small gladiator card for a filler.

I do not know for sure, you tell me if you think I am wrong here lol.

Anyway I have shared 3 water element gladiators. I think I would not share the other elements, but I will share two other units which are not so important to me.

Kotriphus Bayne, he is a tank wannabe from death element. TL;DR I rarely use him because he is weaker than some of regular units. In the past there were some opportunity for him to show up, but not anymore. As more edition have got released, right now we have too many better units than him which have the same fuction.

The second additional useless information goes for this Hugo Strongsword. To be honest, at level 5 he is good. However there are other GREAT gladiator cards so why would we need a good one? lol live is harsh for Hugo...

THE REGULAR FOIL

I will be frank here, my regular foil cards are better, a lot better. But I can only use them during rank battles, or maybe in tournaments but I rarely participate in tournament anymore... due to limited time available for me to play this game.

So I will only share the Tatiana Blade here. I finally manage to get her to level 2 and now she has that dodge ability. I believe this is a major boost to my selection, regarding I often use her when the gladiators are allowed to join in the battle.

Ok those are the leveling ups today. Today cards are not amazing, so I have limitation to make great story about it. However they are good enough to help me maintain my win rate in future, so I am content with them.
