I have some difficulty with catfish dish

Some said that do not play with your food, well I am not going to. But perhaps what I am going to do its a bit rude to some dish. The dish is any catfish dish. Honestly sometime I eat catfish but I can not make it into a right content. There are many things that always bug my mind, and today I am sharing one of them.

It is The Presentation.

A few days ago I came to a Nasi Padang outlet and I ordered a catfish. I like cat fish but I am not a big fan of it. If it is cooked not properly, let say not crisp and dried enough, or maybe the braising and seasoning are wrong, cat fish will end up stink, and gives a muddy smells. I often get that and end up not want to eat any catfish for months.

Ok back to the main story. I ordered a deep fried catfish with an eggplant with chili paste. I liked both of them but when they delivered the plate, I got a big no feeling seeing my plate, I mean how they made the presentation.

Why did they make the V shape with the fish and the eggplant? Did they want to display the victory feeling they had when someone ordered the fish? Was there any alternative that could be set better than this V shape?

So I moved the catfish in align with the eggplant. Well, it did not make any better, it still looked weird. But atleast for me it was not offensive as I saw the Victory sign before lol.

I understand how cat fish look is far from appealing. It doesn't matter how good their taste, for people who haven't tried it, seeing catfish alone could erase any intention to eat it. Sometime they just look like... shit

Ok I think I have enough badmouthing catfish. Anyway do you have any suggestion how I should take my shot on my catfish dish? Seriously I could not get any idea how I should put the fish, on which angle or how far I should take it. Should I break it into two pieces? lol
