During HEAVY HITTER, Don't Think Twice, Go Get Stun Gun!

Hello Fellow Splinterlands Summoners

Welcome to my Splinterlands engagement challenge post. In this week, I want to share a simple move that everyone loves to do but somehow they don't do that anymore. It is deploying your STUN units during Heavy Hitter.

There are two possibilities why they do not like to do this anymore. I don't want to talk without any data, so let's use PEAKMONSTER to see what units have STUN ability.

NOT ALL ELEMENTS HAVE IT

There are only 13 Units have STUN ability in Modern format. Unfortunately not all elements have them, I notice death element has no STUN ability holders. Water Element is the element which has the most of them.

Another consideration is that Most of the units are Legendary units. I do not know what happen, but in past we had more fair distribution for STUN unit, it is not an ability that exclusively available only for Legendaries.

Ok that's the first main reason. Not all elements have the stun units. Even they have, they might be a legendary unit so not all people have it on their line up.

So it's a no wonder why people do not deploy STUN units during HEAVY HITTER rulest, because they don't have it! Knowing this, you should get some, don't follow those people mistake.

IT'S NOT FOR LOWER LEAGUE

Ok this is the second problem why people are not using them as frequent as before. They are not for lower league.

What do I mean by that, take a look again at those 13 units, I intentionally use the gold foil cards there. Only Sultry Barmaid and Nephket who can use STUN on low level.

Nephket is a super powerful units, I could say with a proper usage, he is a legit OP card. However the circulation is limited, you can not get any Gold Foil for this card, and the regular foil is super expensive. Well good card is expensive!

Ok back to our issue, let see Redwyrm Dragon here. He has STUN ability if you manage to get the high level ones. This is what happens on the rest of those cards, only levels above Gold league that have a STUN ability.

Let pick another one for example, Riklauniman. This is an awesome card too, but only the max level of this legendary card that has a STUN ability. If you erase this card, Life Element will join the Death Element as Element which do not have STUN unit.

So now I have shown you why on Silver and Gold League, I rarely see people utilizing STUN ability during HEAVY HITTER ruleset. However this is the challenge you need to solve, because if you do deploy STUN ability unit and your opponent do not, it means you have the massive advantage.

That why in the title I have said that, Do Not Think Twice, Go Get STUN Gun!

Battle Reference

Ok here we go now, It is not a good Splinterlands post if it doesn't have a battle!

~Click The Image Above To See the Full Battle~

In this battle, I won't talk about how good my meta is. Actually my meta is countered in this battle, because I use two melee units that are essential to my defense.

They are Silverblade Fighter and Tidal Tsunamist. These two build up my tank formation, one a tank who withstand magic attacks, and the other is the support that keep repairing the armors.

How does it get countered? Because my opponent uses the most anti melee summoner in this game right now.

Eternal Tofu +2 health points and thorns ability is the big problem for me. Technically I should lose this battle, however I have Sultry Barmaid.

Sultry Barmaid is one of the cheap cards that I like a lot, because I can get STUN from her. She is not super strong, but she is very effective. In normal ruleset, she would not be something that exists as a game changer, however during HEAVY HITTER ruleset, she is the key to activate all units Knock Out double damage hit!

on Round 1, Sultry Barmaid stuns their rear taunting tank, Silverleaf Mage. Due to being stunned, my team could deliver 8 damage per hit, and that makes us able to wipe out Silverleaf Mage in a round.

Else it won't be that simple due to triage ability what would keep healing her.

On Round 4 It's Janni Rebel's turn to get stunned and gets hit very had. This way they could not have any opportunity to heal her, she just gets hit and dies in a couple of move.

Round 5 is the round when my team takes out their Meriput Magician. She gets hit hard too, and dies in a few moves. It would be very hard to kill her if there isn't any double damage from Knock Out ability.

Bottom line I would lose if I have no Sultry Barmaid who stuns my opponents. My meta is countered, or I have opponents that is incompatible with my line up.

This is why during Heavy Hitter ruleset, try your best to get your STUN units ready in the line up!

That's all for today and See you in Splinterlands battlefield...
