Avoid Legendary Summoner If Mana Cap Is Not On Your Favor
Good Day Fellow Summoners
Some weeks ago, I talked about my experience using one of the Legendary Summoner from Rebellion Edition. It was Elias Max Pruitt, and his combination with Commander Slade was excellent. There ware many ways to exploits other units using this outstanding summoner, I bet by seeing his stats, you have your own version of what units you want to employ in his team.

In this post I will not talk about using this Elias Max Pruitt to win something. In fact I do not have him in my line up this season. All my legendary summoners are rented from others, I could not afford to buy them.
So the topic is not about using this legendary summoner, but it is the opposite. Something we must avoid or refrain ourselves to use them, because of mana cap of the battle. Having 2 or 3 more mana sometime because a decisive factor, because it will have you to choose, whether having a great summoner or having the right unit needed by your team.
So lets check our battle then!
The Battle
This is the battle I choose, specifically against Elias Max Pruitt. We have 34 mana cap which is a good number, not too high and not too low, but actually it is a number that often make people confuse which units they want to go with.
As you can see, both my opponent and I choose to come with 5 units. 6 Units are too much for us, but actually there are many ways to go with 6 units but always end up with weaker line up or lousy ones.

The reason is this Heavy Metal modifier. It makes us unable to pick units without armor. It seems simple but it is not, many of "the needed" units for some meta become unavailable here. The result is that those line up having some holes or losing the edge.
I think this is the main reason why both of us choose 5 units team. and before I go further, let see the ambush phase first.

As usual, I check the power of both team during the ambush phase, after both party deploy their buff and debuff. With these line up, I could say these points:
- Both of us in general use similar meta. We rely our meta on our tank, Silverblade Fighter. The only problem they have here is that my Silverblade fighter has higher level than theirs. However overall, our units levels do not differ a lot, almost similar.
- They build up the team with the focus on Commander Slade. Their summoner, Elias Max Pruitt, focuses on buffing their Commander Blade. My team focuses on Warborn Shaman, and the rest of the team are meant to support him.
- The reason why I focus on Warborn Shaman is because of the mana cap. I think most battle in 30s mana cap, populated by mid to small size units, and they are vulnerable to Warborn Shaman 3 magic damage attack.
- If there is another different in our team, it's their line up that are fully focused on attacking. It's an all out attack, while my line up still have a couple of defensive approach. First the Nimbledook explorer protect ability, and the second one is Meriput Mossmender's repair ability. I still try to defend by enhancing my team armors.
So what happened next?

We skip the first round because we want to talk on the main point here. The effect of extra armor and repairing armor delivers the biggest gap here. I could maintain my tank longer, and their tank is gone in the first round.
At this point, their Commander Slade is exposed to my attacks. The sooner I could take down their core unit, the sooner they will lose. Meanwhile my Warborn Shaman still hides in the backline, unexposed!

Let's skip 2 more round. On Round 4 the gap is widening. They have lost their Commander Slade and my Warborn Shaman is still safe. They have lost all their core units here and my team still has it.

As the result, they all get wiped out in the fifth round. It's a good game.
Overall you can say my meta is better, I could defend better than them, although their offensive power from the Commander Slade is ridiculous. However I believe the reason they lose is not because of Warborn Shaman is better than their Commander Slade or because of my better Silverblade Fighter.
Their team fail to support their first 2 tanks, which is the core of their meta. The reason is simple, not enough Mana due to employing Elliot Max Pruitt. I do not have that issue because my summoner only cost me 3 mana. Prunda Unvervesch is not a strong summoner because of no buff she delivers, however her double element ability and 3 mana cap give me the right mana and right unit to support my Warborn Shaman. That's the decisive factor, employing summoner that allow you to get the right unit.
I think I have delivered my thought here well, so I hope you enjoy my post here. See you next time, or in Splinterlands Battlefield!

Those high mana summoners are risky if the mana cap isn't high enough, I agree with you. It cost your opponent the match in this case, well done on the battle!

Well played @dewabrata, this is a well‑thought‑out, synergized lineup.Your Meriput Mossmender with repair was the MVP , granting +2 armor to any unit in the first position. But again your opponent doesn't have any opportunity or sneak monster in the lineup.Really looking forward to battle with you someday. Do have a great day.
