TTT Week 218 X Kcontest: Kpop Demon Hunters
When I thought of music today, my mind went to a cartoon I saw not long ago. KPOP Demon Hunters felt like I was watching Barbie all over again but then with demons, fighting and some really cool pop stars! Funny how the Kcontest from the Korean Hive Village community also brought this as the prompt! Well, I’m excited to do a double one!
This is Three Tunes Tuesday popularly known as TTT. Here, just like the name suggests, you get to share three tunes or songs you like. Maybe artists. Just make it spark. This is all thanks to @ablaze who runs it. Now let’s get this show on the road shall we?
HUNTRIX - GOLDEN
Yeah. This one is very strong. It’s part of the climax number and it is cool. So very me like and what I’ll dance to while doing my morning sanitation. It’s also the kind that’ll make me lose my head on the road if I let it.
I have a bad habit of letting music get to me on the road. Especially when it has bass and rhythm as sick as this one. I also like the words on it. It’s very Barbie. I like it a lot.
SAJA BOYS - YOUR IDOL
This one is on the darker side and why not? They were after the souls of people. That was the whole reason to the band in the first place. Fighting good with evil on so many levels.
This is the part the big fight happens! I enjoyed it. It appealed to my emotions because music was employed as the weapon. How nice would it be if we had wars where a bass guitar was the missile launcher and voices the missile? But unfortunately we live in a world where it’s real death of real people from real weapons.
Ahn Hye-seop who played in Business Proposal, one of my favourite K-dramas voiced Jinu the male lead, but the singing voice was taken by Andrew Choi. Ahn Hye-seop is a Canadian actor and singer based in South Korea, makes sense why he can speak perfect English with the right intonations. Anyway, this song is something I’d use for a dark romance book. Giving me 50 Shades of Grey vibe. Yeah it’s warrrrr!
HUNTRIX - WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE
This is where the good guys always win. So, the SAJA boys have used their musical gift to cause chaos and unveiled secrets that nearly tore apart a beautiful friendship. However, these friends get back together by the inspiring female lead and they save all humanity with peachy voices and emotional music. That’s what happens here.
As a lady who is all a bundle of emotions and plenty tears, I saw the message. Reminds me of This is Me from The Greatest Showman. Yeah, sick beat and sicker words. Love the whole magic that happened here kinda reminds me of Winx Club. You can only understand it fully if you’ve seen the movie.
BONUS TRACK
HUNTRIX - TAKEDOWN
This is when the war began. Just with the introduction of the SAJA boys and them finding out these boys who were so delicious looking were demons sent to destroy their life’s work.
Oh no! SAJA boys were not just hot but they had voice and they were getting what they came for. They were taking their fans! Without the fans, HUNTRIX couldn’t do what they came together to do. The only way to fight was through music and they had to fight back hard!
Hear those lyrics? That was diss on diss. I liked it. Filled with way too much dislike and yeah, the HUNTRIX girls would soon realise that wasn’t who they were.
I hope you enjoyed these selections. I liked them although I won’t listen to them too much. Too much excitement even for me.
