That's awesome. It really is a game changer when you have that kind of experience. One's first enlightenment experience is kind of like the first time making love or getting high: future times will never quite be the same. They might be even better, mind you, but never quite as enlightening as that first one was. But that's, as you say, ok. The door is now ajar and we know what's on the other side, and that makes all the difference.

No, it's never the same. I found that I had read so much about it and understood it intellectually, but feeling it on an intellectual level - seeing it on that level - was what Buddha meant by experiential, which I had never truly understood until that moment. Earth shattering, and probably way better than losing my virginity. Definitely.
