ICE is Out of Control
Another murder. Another execution. As before, there are multiple videos from people who were there from different angles that completely refute the official word.
Americans, are we ok with this?
Alex Pretti was helping a woman that was mistreated by an agent. He was doing exactly what we teach our kids to do: help others, especially women. For this audacity of being a decent human being, he was disarmed and then executed. Not content with that, he was shot an additional 10-14 times. You know, just to be sure.
Are we ok with this?
Even if you accept that the agent thought Pretti had a gun — multiple organizations have reviewed several of the videos floating around and have concluded it was his cell phone, with which he had been recording videos of what was going on — is the correct action to shoot someone point blank 10-14 times?
I won't link to any of the videos here. They are terrible to watch. But if you really want to see, they aren't hard to find.
With both Renée Good and now with Alex Pretti it has become obvious that these ICE agents have almost no law enforcement training. They are behaving more like hired thugs than officers of the law.
At least reports say that some agents started performing chest compressions. Not that you'd think that would have much effect after shooting him 10-14 times.
El Orange One is ok with a violent insurrectionist storming the capital and beating a police man with a confederate flag, but a nurse trying to protect a woman: that kind of act is deserving of death.

Trust me, half of us are watching from this side of the world in horror too. I haven't watched many of the videos because as you said, it is pretty disturbing. I think what is even more disturbing is that despite the evidence, if people are told to believe a certain thing, they are going to run with it no matter what. Then proceed to mock the folks who embrace the truth.

Unfortunately, none of this is uniquely evil. Trump is just the latest in a long succession of escalating tyranny, and worse at the PR necessary to sell it to the public.
That's the one silver lining here. His popularity is terrible. Usually Tyrants are at least popular in the beginning. I suppose he was too, but only for about a month, until he started allowing Elon to dismantle the government, then his popularity started to fall. Word keeps leaking out that most non-MAGA Republicans in Congress are also aghast at what he is doing, but they are terrified of crossing him, so they fall in line. I can't imagine this will continue.
Thomas Massie is one of the few Republicans with testicular fortitude, and the MAGA machine is being used against him relentlessly despite his actually doing what MAGA pretended it cared about: pushing for smaller government, accountability, Epstein transparency, and fiscal responsibility.
It was an execution.

DHS alleged Pretti was an unlawful gun carrier aiming to massacre law enforcement,carrying two magazines without ID.
Minnesota records directly counter this:
Valid Permit: Pretti held a legal Minnesota permit for both concealed and open carry,no violation.
Clean Record: Only minor traffic tickets; no criminal history disqualifying him from gun ownership.
Video evidence (reviewed by Reuters, NYT, WSJ) shows he was holding a cell phone, not brandishing a gun when tackled; agents fired 10 shots in 5 seconds after pinning him.

Justice? That would be to be alive again. Justice for him is impossible. But I hope his death is the finally trigger to wake Americans up as to what is happening in their country.
I agree—in the Alex Pretti case involving DHS/ICE, federal agents are often shielded by qualified immunity unless the force is blatantly excessive. In this Trump era, DHS rarely prosecutes its own, making true justice feel like slim odds, like you said.
Americans must wake up to prevent repeats of such tragedies—it's heartbreaking. 😢 May his soul rest in peace.

Why does history demand its martyrs? Why does it take such a travesty for people to see?
And yet, there will be those who do not see.
Quite a difficult time in our nation's history. I hope this man's death will be the final push my fellow citizens need. What a way to go down in history. What a price to pay so the rest of the country can come to its senses.
I hope. If his death causes Americans to wake up, at least it will have some meaning.
I still disagree with the assessment of the January 6th capitol protest as an "insurrection," or with blaming Trump for what they did, or with the exaggerated fear the left uses when discussing it
That said, I'm no fan of Cheeto Mussolini, and the insanity of the entire DHS apparatus is unacceptable. I don't know how many trying to defend ICE and Border Patrol on social media are even real people though. Bots, sock puppets, engagement farms, and trolls abound. Regardless, there is a concerted effort to frame this as if the victim were the perpetrator somehow, evidence be damned.
That's a good point. Most of the online voices saying the worst things about Pretti are very likely foreign bots who are trying to enflame the situation even more.
Worse than the actions of the agents, is the white house's refusal to admit that something bad happen and their insistence at completely spinning the truth even though we can plainly see in all these videos that they are lying their pants off.

It almost seems one of those bad movies that would make no sense in the real world and yet, here we are. And unfortunately, I do believe there are some people so blinded by the giant toddler that will find a way way to say everything is justifiable.
They already are. He says, and they repeat. According to them, Alex Pretti was a violent radical and deserves what he got.

Agents aren't being properly trained and are using excessive force. Things should have been resolved peaceably, but throw in the fear factor and these guys over react. What they did was wrong, just because someone is armed doesn't give them an excuse to kill him. If I were walking around there I would want to be armed too, it's not exactly a safe place right now.
This guy was one of the good guys, and ICU nurse at the VA. ICU nurses are special people, it's not easy job. Things are out of control and are going to have to be reigned in otherwise it will escalate into an absolute all out war on the streets.
I hope sanity prevails. This could really explode into something even nastier.
I watched the horrific videos of the incident. I was surprised to see the behavior and reaction of a law enforcement officer.
That literally was brutal.
They are trained by the IDF, that trains yearly ~20k American police. We can see by the cruelty of the IDF in Gaza what kind of training they provide, and the agencies sending officers to be trained there intend their officers to apply that training to Americans.
IMHO these are RWDS's and the agencies participating are intending to unleash them in America. As goes Gaza, so goes the world.
Neither Demoblicans nor Republicrats care for Americans or our rights, but act solely to increase their own power insofar as consistent with the purposes of their masters, whom bribe and blackmail them to attain their own purposes, which partisans then use as means to benefit themselves. All of these powers are our enemies that will slaughter or enslave us all if we do not secure ourselves and defeat them.
Good and Pretti's executions are exemplary of what all Americans can expect going forward from American partisan institutions, as both are weapons in the arsenal of the globalist technocracy being imposed on the entire world.
