What Penalties Should Internet Scammers Receive and Why ?

You know talking about this topic I was once a victim of different internet fraud before I learnt my lesson I lost more than half of a millions in naira and the reason am after great opportunity that could benefit me and change my life totally but all I ever come by was scam and fraud. Instead of earnings and making profit, I lost my time, my money, my health and even peace of mind. At a certain time I was totally broke all what am looking up to turns to be a scam.

To me all this scammers they deserve a strong punishment cos they have made a lot of people cry with their hard earn money, I will never forget when I was scam some amount of money online in return to get a loan which I was hoping to start my own business. But after sending the required amount of money for them to processed the loan for me I was blocked, and I was unable to reach them.

To me their punishment should be very strict, and should be taken legally and socially. Legally they should be jail for minimum of 6months and their should be repayment for those that are victim. If they can properly punished I think there will be reductions in the rate of online scamming.

And socially I think it will be good to expose this scammers because many of them are hiding under fake profile in different social media, at least if they are expose it can stop how they deceive people through fake profile.

And I suggest their should be educative program for the consequences of scamming for both the victim and the scammers, if these people can have the knowledge about the danger it cause I think the rate of scamming will be reduced.
