Esta serie la vi hace algo de tiempo, la verdad es empecé a verla, luego de escuchar algunas personas hablar de ella, cierto día cuando me encontraba en la parada a la espera de un ómnibus de trasporte público, decían que era una locura, yo que andaba medio ansioso de contenido, me dejé llevar. No sabía muy bien qué esperar, pero desde el primer episodio entendí que esto no era un anime más, era algo como más fuerte disfrazado de colores vibrantes y movimiento exagerado.
Akira llora por todo, por un gato, por un amigo que sufre, hasta por gente que no conoce; es un crybaby, un llorón, la serie no se avergüenza en llamarlo así desde el título, en esa vulnerabilidad creo encontré la primera pista, de lo que realmente iba a tratar esta historia. I saw this series a while ago. Honestly, I started watching it after hearing some people talk about it. One day, while I was waiting at the bus stop for public transport, they were saying it was insane. I was feeling a bit starved for content, so I let myself get carried away. I didn’t really know what to expect, but from the very first episode, I understood that this wasn’t just another anime; it was something heavier, dressed up in vibrant colors and exaggerated motion.
Akira cries about everything—over a cat, over a suffering friend, even over people he doesn’t know. He's a crybaby. The series isn't ashamed to call him that right from the title. In that vulnerability, I think I found the first clue about what this story was really going to be about. Because next to Akira stands Ryo, his best friend, but also his antithesis: cold, calculating, with a gaze that always seems to be several steps ahead of everyone else.

She explains that Akira cries for others, even for her when she couldn't cry herself, bringing forth a simple truth: if there were more people like him, the world would be a better place.

Don't stop loving just because you're hurt. That sounds like an Instagram caption, but the series has the guts to say it without apologizing, with blood, sex, and tears thrown in. And in the end, you kind of find yourself wishing you could be a little more like Akira, to cry for others and pass on the baton.
