RE: Visa and Stripe-backed Tempo Launch Rival Tools for AI Agent Payments

What’s interesting here is that AI payments are starting to look less like a futuristic concept and more like something businesses will actually need to support soon. If AI agents are going to handle subscriptions, cloud services, API usage, or even automated purchases, the payment infrastructure behind all of that has to be extremely flexible and secure.
One thing I’ve noticed is that many companies focus only on blockchain speed or stablecoins, but they underestimate how difficult it is to manage payment approvals, cross-border transactions, fraud prevention, and banking compatibility at scale. I came across some useful insights about this recently on payatlas.com, especially around merchant solutions for newer digital businesses and fintech projects.
I also think Visa and Stripe getting involved this deeply is a huge signal. Big payment providers usually move slowly, so when they start building tools specifically for AI-driven transactions, it probably means autonomous commerce is much closer than most people expected.
