Note:
[De Bruce.ged]Sir William succeeded his father in 1363. He distinguished himself at the battle of Navaret, in Spain, under Edward, the Black Prince, where he was made banneret in 1367, and continued to serve under that general in all his Spanish and French wars. On his return, he died at Canterbury, where he was entombed, on which is the inscription:

Fortia qui gessit, Gallos, Navarrosq, repressit,
Hinc cum recissit, morte ferente decessit,

There is a football ground in Wolverhampton, UK, called the Molineux Stadium.
The name originates from Benjamin Molineux, a merchant and distant relative of the Earls of Sefton.
