The Power of Olivia Of The Brook in Splinterlands

In this post I'll talk about the Olivia of the Brook card in Splinterlands. It's the kind of card I like to have in my battles because it has very useful abilities.

Arcade Colony

Arcade Colony is a web-based platform where mainstream games can deploy Web3 features. Newly created games, as well as previously released games, can now add tokens, digital collectibles, trading, renting, earning, and governance to their games. Thus, Arcade Colony hosts a series of published games similar to the Epic Games Store, Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Steam, but unlike Web2 publishers, Arcade Colony augments new and existing games with Web3 features.

Let's continue talking about the Olivia of the Brook card in Splinterlands.

Olivia of the Brook is a card from the old Reward Set and it was my main focus in the Glint Shop, but I got discouraged with Splinterlands and for that reason I sold my Olivia of the Brook. I only have 1 BCX left, which I kept because even at level 1 it can still be useful in battle, but I will evolve it again by buying some more cards of it in the future.

The reason I like Olivia of the Brook is because it's a card that has 2 types of attack and it's able to attack in any position because of the Opportunity ability.

Let's learn about Olivia of the Brook's abilities.

Opportunity

With this ability, the monster can attack in any position and will target the enemy monster with the lowest health.

Mimic

At the beginning of round 2 and each following round, gain a random ability from the enemy team. Dispel removes one mimicked ability in the reverse order they were gained. Debilitations, Targeting abilities, Ambush, Weapons Training, Flank, Reach, Charge, Recharge, and Taunt cannot be mimicked.

Deflect

0 damage from Corrosive Ward, Magic Reflect, Thorns, Return Fire, and Blast Splash damage.

The main reason I like Olivia of the Brook is the Mimic ability; let's see how she performs on the battlefield.

To test cards I don't have, I use Practice Mode, and these are the settings I use.

BATTLE

A battle that wasn't very easy, but the Olivia of the Brook card showed how useful it can be in battles. The only problem with the Mimic ability is that it takes time for Olivia of the Brook to gain several abilities.
