Showing How Tournaments Work in Splinterlands

In this post, I'll explain how Tournaments work in Splinterlands. They'll be a great help in increasing your game profits and increasing your enjoyment.
If you're not yet familiar with Splinterlands, I invite you to read my other posts about the game. In them, I always give interesting tips and explain important features.
I'll soon be posting a complete tutorial on how to get started in Splinterlands.
Arcade Colony

In my posts, I like to write about Arcade Colony. It's the platform that introduced me to Moon Karts and StakeHouse Den. These are two games that I find very interesting, and if you're interested in learning more, I have two posts that will be very useful.
- Explaining How to Get Started in Moon Karts
- My Introduction to StakeHouse Den and My First Lady Luck Pack
Now, I'll give a brief summary of Arcade Colony.
Arcade Colony is a web-based platform where mainstream games can deploy Web3 features. Newly created games, as well as previously released games, can now add tokens, digital collectibles, trading, renting, earning, and governance to their games. Thus, Arcade Colony hosts a series of published games similar to the Epic Gamestore, Apple App Store, Google Playstore, or Steam, but unlike Web2 publishers, Arcade Colony augments new and existing games with Web3 games.
For more information about the platform, read the Whitepapper.

I'll talk about Tournaments in Splinterlands again.
Tournaments

When I started playing Splinterlands, it took me many months to learn about Tournaments. The reason is that Splinterlands is not an easy game. There are many cards, rules, and information, which means there are many strategies to test and many things to learn.
I regret not having started Tournaments earlier because I would have increased my in-game earnings and because, in my opinion, they are more fun than ranked battles. So, I'll explain how Tournaments work so that beginners don't make the same mistake I did.
- Remember that Tournaments aren't easy, and my comments above are just my personal opinion.
To find Tournaments, log in to your Splinterlands account and go to the Play option on the screen.

After clicking Play, go to the Tournament option and you'll be directed to the page below.

On this page, you'll find several Tournament options. There are Tournaments created by Splinterlands itself and also Tournaments created by other players.

Entering a Tournament is very simple. You can click View to see the Tournament details before joining or click Enter to register directly.

I'll use the Scarred Hand Advanced Cup GF Tournament as an example. In this tournament, players can only use Gold Foil cards from the Conclave Arcana Set, and the maximum card level is Gold League.
Having only Gold League level cards as a restriction means that the maximum card levels are:
Common: Level 8.
Rare: Level 6.
Epic: Level 5.
Legendary: Level 3.
There are minimum requirements to participate in the tournament, and the requirements for the Scarred Hand Advanced Cup GF Tournament are:
- Have at least 20,000 SPS staked.
- Have at least 285,156 Power cards from the Conclave Arcana set.
To meet these requirements, you can buy or rent cards. I need to rent cards to participate in this tournament; I already have the SPS staked.
You also need to pay a 300 DEC fee to participate in the Scarred Hand Advanced Cup GF Tournament.
Once you've met all the requirements and paid the fee, you just need to wait for the Tournament to start, and your reward will depend on your position at the end of the Tournament.
In many tournaments, even if you finish poorly, you can earn more than the amount you paid in the Fee. Therefore, Tournaments are a great way to increase your earnings.
If you're a good player and achieve excellent placements in Tournaments, they can be your biggest source of income in Splinterlands.
