Curator Cat: Lazy Spring Caturday!

Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

We are having a lovely spring weekend around here with bright sunshine and more warmth than his usual for this time of the year, which also made this a perfect Caturday!

The Mom-Hooman came home a couple of days early from her trip to Seattle so we have a full complement of Hoomans in the house for the weekend!

This weekend is also something the Hoomans are calling Easter, which means there's some kind of celebration that evidently involves food, so I am hoping that there will also be extra treats for us cats!

Because it was such a nice day outside, we got to watch the Dad-Hooman pulling plants and things out of the ground for much of the day, and getting quite hot and sweaty in the process.

From a cat's perspective, I would say you Hoomans work far too hard at too many things that don't really seem to have any lasting effect or make a difference. You should probably do something that's fun instead!

If I may, I would recommend playing with your cats! After all, that is fun and we enjoy the exercise and chasing toys around the house!

The nice thing about spring and warmer weather is that we're also arriving at the time of the year where the Hoomans start leaving doors and windows open so we can sit in the fresh breeze and smell things from the outside.

I particularly enjoy laying in front of the open screen door when the Hoomans are out working in their vegetable garden where I can see what they're doing but don't have to get outside and get into the dirt and mud. Such is the life of a pampered house cat!

As a general public service announcement today — April 4th — also happened to be World Stray Animal Awareness Day. Meaning that it would be a great day for those of you who have been contemplating getting a new furry friend in your life to adopt somebody from the local animal shelter, or take in the cat that's hanging around your neighborhood!

I don't really pretend to understand what is going on in the world at the moment but the Hoomans seem to worry quite a bit about it. I think Hoomans — in general — must be a rather angry and vicious species sometimes although my Hoomans have always been very sweet and loving with us cats.

Meanwhile, we are all just hoping that things in the cryptosphere won't get any worse; these days even things just staying on an even keel and not declining fills like a win!

Anyway, we appreciate you stopping by to visit our little cat blog and hope you your Caturday was a wonderful one and that you have a great Sunday for Easter!

=^..^=

Love Cats? Get Involved in Hive's Cat Communities!

If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?

These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Many of the allow you to share your cat posts, even if you started at a different community!

HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!

Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!

Caturday by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS!

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community.

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
