What Goes UP... Must Come DOWN?
Our native Hive token has been off doing one of its "Crazy Ivan" rollercoaster rides again.
This time it's even having a little "aftershock!"

While it is always fun to watch, I've learned not to pay much attention to these events, as an indicator of anything.
Whenever one of these "Korean Moonshot" events take place, there's always a chorus of voices suggesting that these people should use their Hive accounts for something other than pump-and-dump games.
Frankly, I don't think these folks even have Hive accounts.
Remember, you can hold Hive on a centralized exchange without ever even knowing what Hive is.
Speculation and day trading does not require anyone to know anything about the security/crypto they are trading!
I remember this quite well from my own days (in the distant past) of day trading tech stocks.
While I definitely knew what Dell, Gateway, IBM, Iomega and others were, I had zero vested interest in those companies or their products. I was mostly interested in their stocks because of their daily *volatility. I was just watching "micro-trends" and "micro-patterns" and acting accordingly, sometimes making several thousand dollars in a matter of 30 minutes... and that was pretty much "the day's work."
I guess my point here is that I just want to say to those questioners: "Don't flatter yourself that these traders have ANY interest in Hive!"
They are operating in a whole different world from those of us who are here as content creators (and consumers), committed to Hive in the long run. I am not saying this to rain on anyone's sunshine, just to kick in a reality check.
Naturally, I do hope we end up enjoying a sustained rise in the price of Hive, but I just don't think it's going to come from these sporadic moonshots.
What do you think?

You are right, most of these spikes are trader driving, real value come from the people who keep building and creating everyday on hive.
I just try to add more value than I am taking out... and even what I take out of "main" Hive I tend to invest in 2nd layer projects.
Wow that's nice 👍 you are really doing a great job.
The thing is, I don't think I've ever seen a post in Hive in Korean, and I don't recall seeing any Hivers who are obviously Korean.....
I see occasional Chinese language posts come through, and on rare occasions Japanese. Not that I am looking super hard.
As best I have been able to determine, all the Korean creators stayed on the old chain and now make up the vast majority of the users over there.
Hive is currently in rollercoaster mode:
Does seem to be a lot like that!
