The 4-Click Tournament Takedown A Community Challenge Tutorial
Listen up, future tournament champions! Did you know getting into a Splinterlands tournament is about as complex as tying your shoes if your shoes had glowing lights and spit out SPS into your wallet? Seriously. People lose out on so much easy money because they overthink it. They scroll past the tournaments, eyes glazed over, thinking it's some exclusive club. They see the word "tournament" and their brain immediately goes to "esports, pro players, no chance." But guess what? This isn't that. This is the Community Challenge Tutorial, designed to get you off the bench and into the game, right now. No more excuses. Let's make this the week you dive into tournaments.
Here's your foolproof, 4-step path to getting into the action and earning some serious crypto.
The Grand Gateway: Find Your Portal to Riches
So, you're on the Splinterlands website. Maybe you're stalking the marketplace for a sweet deal. Whatever. Your first move for tournament glory is staring you right in the face. Think of the "Play" menu as your central command. It’s got everything battles, brawls, guilds, and the express lane to potential riches. This solves the eternal question "Okay, but where do I even find these tournaments?"
It’s right there, subtly waiting. From the main "Play" dropdown menu, you're going to select the "Tournaments" option. BOOM. First click, done. That's it. You've officially entered the ante-room of opportunity. Don't overthink it, don't second-guess yourself, just click.
Intelligent Selection: Your Inner Tournament Scout
Now you're in the tournament lobby, and yeah, it can look a bit overwhelming at first. A whole list of tournaments, some locked, some open, some with weird names and even weirder rules. This is where your inner "Tournament Scout" kicks in. The trick here is to be smart, not brute-force. You’re not trying to enter every single tournament, you’re looking for the ones that fit you and your card collection.
The game actually helps you here. Seriously. Go through the different tournaments and pick ones you have the cards to play in. Look for the requirements, rarity, mana cap, splinters allowed. Are they Novice? Bronze? Silver? Match it to your league and your available cards. This step filters out countless hours of frustration. If it says "Gold League Only" and you're in Bronze, just move on. If it's "Untamed Only" and your best cards are Chaos Legion, keep scrolling. This is about playing to your strengths, literally. It saves you entry fees and heartbreak. Select wisely, my friend.
The Mid-Round Momentum: Your Progress Bar to Glory
You've entered. You've played some battles. You even paid a small entry fee, which can feel a bit counter-intuitive when you're used to everything being "free-to-play" (ish). But then comes the moment of truth. You check your standings. And you know what? You're in it. You've made it to Round 2. This is your internal "Progress Bar" filling up.
That feeling, seeing your name on that list, knowing you're still in the running, it's pure motivation. Screenshot 3 shows just that, I'm in the Intermediate Shield Series, and I'm doing good. It’s always good if you make it to Round 2. It reinforces that even if you're not the top dog, just getting past the first hurdle means you're doing something right. It means your effort is paying off. And more importantly, it means you're still in the running for those sweet, sweet payouts. This isn't just about winning the whole thing, it's about progressing, learning, and banking those placement prizes.
The Payout Party: Your Digital Treasure Chest
Alright, this is the part we all click for, isn't it? Because after all the clicking, scouting, and battling, you want to know if it was actually worth it. This is where the magic happens. The final step is seeing those numbers. The raw, undeniable proof that said entry fee was a pittance compared to the actual take.
Check out my latest winnings, the proof is in the pudding. 295 SPS and 243 SPS. Yeah, you read that right. Those payouts? Better than brawl win prizes. Far better. Screenshot 4 lays it all out, all my prize payments. This isn't theoretical, this is real crypto in your wallet, directly from the tournament. This solves any lingering doubt about whether tournaments are "worth it." They are, my friends. They absolutely are. So stop procrastinating, stop overthinking, and go follow these four clicks. Your first tournament win (or at least your first significant payout) is waiting, you just need to unleash your inner dummy and go get it.
The future of gaming? It's here, and it's not some vaporware BS. It's Splinterlands. This isn't just some pretty Digital Collectible Card Game. It's powered by actual, functioning Blockchain Technology, and what that means for you is actual ownership. You can trade, sell, and lease your card assets. Nobody can take 'em away. And if you're still complaining about "play-to-earn" being a scam, guess what? Splinterlands makes it demonstrably easy to earn daily. So, stop whining about the future and go participate. That bit about choosing events that match your league and card sets is the real unlock. My inner cheapskate loves not donating entry fees, and it really does bump the win rate fast. Do you hunt for low-entry SPS brackets with funky rules to dodge whales, or stick to the more standard formats?
Pick ones that you think you can do well in, I only have wild cards so every modern tournament gets a miss.
Same here. If your deck is Wild heavy, Modern just tanks your win rate, so skip it. Look for Wild events with low entry, SPS-gated or CP-capped brackets, and filters like no legendaries or bronze or silver only. That trims the whales and lets old sets do work, so you get more reps and better returns.

There should be more of these. The OG's know where to go but tI would say the newbies have problems starting out.
