What?! Guaranteed buybacks on this Hive-Engine token

UNICOIN and @uni-coin account were created and run by me(my husband does the coding).🦄

Are there any other Hive-engine tokens that guarantee buybacks at the original selling price? I don't think they exist but if they do, let me know.

UNICOIN has two buy back programs. I suggest you check out this article to avoid confusion.

Before I get into the nitty-gritty, I do want to clear up some things about UNICOIN that people are having a hard time grasping. Particularly UNICOIN and the associated @tippybot is not an upvote service. The bot does not and CANNOT upvote. Lots of folks are confused by this/assume it's a upvote bot.

People are really struggling with this concept because UNICOIN is unique. The tip calls are based on HP delegated to the @uni-coin account NOT tokens held or staked.

This has never been done before on Hive for a tip bot. In fact it wasn't easy and required custom coding.

Why base the bot calls on HP delegations?

Sustainability. This solves a problem I have seen with most tokens. Users generally need to hold/stake X amount of tokens per bot call but that is not guaranteed income for the people behind the project- even if folks buy the tokens. This is due to the decentralization of the trading . Anyone can buy/sell tokens. Folks in general buy the cheapest on the market (I do the same usually).

This can cause hyperinflation as folks use the tip bot without any new income to the folks behind the token. This has been the cause of the downfall of many tokens in general, lack of consistent capital to keep things going after the initial sale.

Making the tip bot dependent on HP delegations is one way to solve this problem.

Yes many tip tokens are just for fun and have no monetary value / are made to not really have monetary value. There's nothing wrong with that. UNICOIN is not one of those tokens.

Also , UNICOIN is backed by Hive holdings before mint and are only minted when needed. It also has use cases. The curation earnings from the delegation and the account's HP pay for the tokens. Post earnings/beneficiary earnings are part of the process too but most earnings will come from curation in the long term.

Basing it on HP is also less risky to the person delegating. No funds need to be exchanged. No need to buy tokens that likely will lose value over time. The HP is still yours and you can retract it at any time.

How many times have you bought a token only to see it's value diminish due to inflation or other causes? UNICOIN is relatively stable. Hive pegged ,with a real use case ,regular burns and regular buybacks- hodlers are more protected.

Also we(UNICOIN) guarantee buybacks in addition to the scheduled buybacks . It may take time to power down but if someone has more than 50 UNICOIN and they want "out" I will guarantee those tokens will be bought back at 1 swap.hive or Hive (or combination).

Yes, you read that correctly. Not only are there scheduled buybacks where a portion of the circulating supply is bought back at more than one swap.hive but you can also request a refund, wait about a month for power down and get your HIVE/swap.hive back. Of course folks can try to sell their tokens on the market while waiting for the power down and we will buy back the remaining tokens after power down.

How can we do this? Well simple. As I explained, tokens are backed by HIVE holdings before mint. At the time of writing this there is also 1.5x HP in the account than tokens in circulation. I estimate in less than two months given the burn rate and rate of increased HP that number will be 2x or more. This is not counting liquid Hive or Hive-engine assets, only HP . The real number of Hive backing is higher than this.

Having the tip bot be delegation based ensures a steady income to back future tokens as well.

I don't believe these guaranteed buybacks have existed for a long term token on Hive/hive-engine before. Basing the tip bot (not upvote bot) on HP delegations is also unique. I am not doing things differently to be trendy or "cool" just doing things differently because they work. Numbers don't lie.

Fun fact: If in the worst case scenario every single UNICOIN hodler decided to sell, the program would still function and earn. Like I pointed out earlier we now have 1.5X the HP to tokens in circulation so we can afford to buy back every single token and still have HP left over.

Regular burns keep the supply low and HP is increasing every day. Tokens are never minted unless backed by HP and actually needed. they are "recycled" first.

Please let me know if there is another tokens that has these guarantees and stability because I want in on it.
❤️🦄
