I've been playing Splinterlands since 2021 when I started back when we had different gameplay dynamics. At that time we needed collection power, which was the sum of the strengths of the individual cards we had available. Nowadays things have changed a lot, but the turn-based battle system remains the same.

Splinterlands is a card-based game, meaning a deck of cards that each player has available to play battles. Every so often, a new card set is released, completely changing the game's dynamics. That’s what happened in May 2025 when the new card set called Conclave Arcana was launched. I bought some card packs to try out the new features, and this post shows how we can use these cards in battles to earn rewards in this #Splinterlands #play2earn game!

I finished the previous season in the Silver II league and now I'm placed in Bronze 1. I decided to wait until I had time to buy packs before starting to play in the new season. I just did that: I bought 5 packs of the Conclave Arcana Starter Pack type. These five packs yielded 25 new cards, not all of them useful, but some allowed me to upgrade cards that I'll highlight later.

Card Analysis

Let's see what we got!

• Halfshell Seer is a Tortisian from the Neutral element, with two points of ranged damage, it’s a good card! My first bcx and I believe I’ll be able to use it frequently in my battles!
  Market Value: USD 0.363

• Vicious Giraffe is a Mundane Beast from the Fire element that I’m leveling up. I have it at level 2 and keep stacking it. I need to improve it ASAP as it’s a key card for the Fire element.
  Market Value: USD 0.072

• Tidal Tsunamist is a Tideborn from the Water element, extremely important for my teams! I have it at level 2 and hope it grows quickly!

• Boring Hobgoblin is a Goblin from the Neutral element. I like any card with this element. Finally got the bcx to bring it to level 2!

• Caravan Guard is a Human from the Life element, nothing that interests me at the moment. Its price has dropped by half since I last checked.

• Cavewise Wayfinder is a Gnome from the Fire element, which has that ability that damages allies. I already have it at level 2 but I’m not very interested.

• Silverleaf Mage is an Elf from the Earth element with a high cost, but its attack starts at three points of ranged damage. Great for causing big damage!

• Conclave Tracker is a Human from the Neutral element. I collect all cards from this element since they are very versatile!

• Portly Cannoneer is a Dwarf from the Fire element, very important as it increases melee attack for the whole team.

• Fenmoor Gorgon is a Saurian from the Death element, with two points of magic attack, very balanced! I already have it at level 2 and am building it up!

• Thraghun is an Orc from the Death element, with double attack (ranged and melee), high mana cost, but deadly! Finally got enough to level it up to 2!

• Fithe Bladestone is a summoner of the Dwarf type from the Fire element and grants +2 Armor to the whole team. It also has Bloodline Dominion, giving its descendants the Void ability which reduces magic damage received!

• Conclave Artificer is a Gnome from the Neutral element with no attacks.
  Market Value: USD 0.054

• Bristleborn Brigand is a Rodentian from the Death element with snipe attack and very cheap! Now I can bring it to level 2.

• Thunderous Herald is an Ulund from the Life element with two points of magic attack, strong from the first BCX! Now I can level it up to 2!

• Buttercup Mauler is a Fey from the Earth element, not my focus right now.

• Silverleaf Warlock is an Elf from the Death element with two points of magic attack, perfect for my collection. Very useful now since I’m focusing my deck on Death and Water.

• Janni Oracle is a Djinn from the Life element, which I already have at level 2.

• Swiftbeard Stout is a Dwarf from the Fire element, with two points of ranged attack, strong from the first BCX!

• Grimward Ruinshot is an Orc from the Neutral element with two points of ranged attack, simple and balanced.

• Thragha is an Orc from the Death element that has magic resistance, making it an excellent first-position tank!

Next Steps

An excellent opening, I got a summoner. I still don’t have any level 2 summoners from the Conclave Arcana set. I plan to keep buying Conclave Arcana Packs and sharing the results with everyone!

Also, as my cards evolve, I will need to increase my summoners’ level to unlock their best potential. That’s pretty obvious to say.

A cada tempo, uma nova coleção de cards é lançada, fazendo com que toda a dinâmica do jogo mude. Foi isso que aconteceu em Maio de 2025 quando foi lançada a nova coleção de cards chamada Conclave Arcana. Eu comprei alguns packs de cards para poder experimentar as novidades, e esta postagem mostra como podemos usar esses cards em batalhas, visando ganhar as recompensas desse jogo #Splinterlands que é #play2earn!

Eu encerrei a temporada anterior na liga Silver II e agora estou alocado na liga Bronze 1. Decidi esperar até ter tempo de comprar packs antes de começar a jogar na nova temporada. Acabei de fazer isso: comprei 5 packs do tipo Conclave Arcana Starter Pack. Esses cinco packs renderam 25 novos cards, sendo que nem todos foram úteis mas alguns deles possibilitaram o upgrade de cards que vou destacar depois.

• Halfshell Seer é um Tortisian do elemento neutro, com dois pontos de dano ranged é um bom card! Meu primeiro bcx e acredito que poderei usar ele com frequência em minhas batalhas!

• Vicious Giraffe é um Mundane Beast do elemento Fire, que estou upando e tenho em level 2 e continuo acumulando. Preciso melhorar o quanto antes pois é um card fundamental para o elemento Fire.

Próximos passos

Uma excelente abertura, consegui receber um invocador. Ainda não tenho nenhum invocador em level 2 da coleção Conclave Arcana. Pretendo continuar comprando Conclave Arcana Packs e compartilhando com todos os resultados!

Além disso conforme meus cards forem sendo evoluídos eu irei precisar aumentar o level dos invocadores para poder liberar o uso das suas melhores potenciais. Isso é uma coisa bem óbvia de se dizer.
