This is a weekly overview of my personal sports betting/trading results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League documenting my journey toward long-term profit with some insights on my overall approach.

Another week and the same pattern continues in that I'm absolutely nowhere on the bets where I possibly see a mistake in the odds. This season it's been insane how well the market has been able to predict the form of the day of teams. Overall the loss remained limited this sweet at 0.294 units and over the season given how everything played out it actually also is a fairly limited loss of just -3.5 units. With 10 more weeks to go in the playoffs, just a slight upwing / regression to the mean could still give me a green season even though the priority is mostly on keeping the damage limited.

I will regroup and see where I can improve for next season as I do still very much enjoy it all and really want to be profitable again.

Pre-Game Preview Bets Season 2024-2025

I was brave enough to take up another 'official' selection on Union +0 @ 2.025 which felt like a good gamble pre-game as teams like Union systematically did well against Genk who tend to struggle against their style. However, somehow Union ended up having an off day while they are one of the most reliable teams of the season while Genk played one of their better matches. I was tempted to go up a lot higher in stakes as the odds went up but kept the disciple overall limiting the damage.

Season 2024-2025 Personal Betting Chart

Overall I still managed to limit the damage mostly because the corner bets remain profitable while the pre-game bets have just been a complete train wreck this season. I will continue in the playoffs but keep things on a high caution level most likely settling for a first losing season ever with a limited loss. In the end, the long run is what it is all about and a losing season isn't the end of the world. However, I need to find a way to regain some kind of edge on the market going forward.
