This is a weekly overview of my personal sports betting/trading results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League, documenting my journey toward long-term profit with some insights on my overall approach.

While I hoped to bring out the rocket booster image in this results post, a last-second counter goal from Westerlo brought about a 0.6 unit swing to the wrong side but I still managed to end the week at over 1.2 units of profit which is great. I'm also starting to, for the first time in a while become a lot more confident again as betting kind of feels like an ATM machine again where I just like that can withdraw money.

I'm now also up 5.5 units on the season which combined with the newly found confidence makes me willing to become a bit less risk-averse. This should translate in some bigger stakes going forward and I already have a 0.8 unit bet for next weekend. Off course, all of this could backfire hard to crush my profit down in case I would be wrong or get in a bad streak. I'm willing to take that calculated risk though and still aim to have somewhat higher stakes as the standard instead of always keeping everything small because of doubt.

Pre-Game Preview Bets Season 2025-2026

I had 1 highlighted pre-game bet which turned out to be a great bet that I would always take again even though it ended up in a last second loser. It kind of strenghtens y confidence as this actually was an unlucky weeks where I still managed to crush it overall. I very well might increase the number of suggested selections again going forward.

Season 2025-2026 Personal Betting Chart

Just a couple weeks ago, I was a-t a crossroad sitting below the expected pink profit line and the question if I was going to go down further or shoot up again. I'm really glad to see the 2nd scenario happened as there was a clear breakout to the upside. The chart overall when zooming out also kind of looks like a stress-free straight line up. The fact that I often hedge these days in-game to reduce variance really helps with that even though it might reduce my profit a bit. I said this before that just for the mental point of view for me, I prefer no crazy streaks. Things are going good and the only thing I'm really working on right now is to try to get my overall volume up to at least 8 to 10 units which I never reached so far this season. Last week, I clocekd it down at 6.575 units which was my 2nd highest week volume of the season so I'm making progress.

This season, a big team home favorite at a -1.5 handicap or higher taking the easy win covering the handicap is pretty much an upset at this point since it feels like an impossible scenario that never really happens anymore. If they cover, it's always a struggle one way or another and in most cases they don't.

Blindly betting all underdog lines this season at closing line (an you can bet those big) would have resulted in 94W-67L-47P good for 19.5 units of profit. Off course it's not as easy as that unfortunately and there could very much be some regression to the mean.

It keeps it all interesting though.
