Standard vs Kv Mechelen
The international break came at a good time for Standard who have a new coach who already was on the bench last time away against OHL. In that match they didn't manage to create a single chance and lost with a narro 1-0 score. Euvrard tends to be a coach who puts importance on Defense and on Pressing which is what I'm also expecting to see from Standard. He was bothered by the lack in chances which he worked on so it can be expected that Standard will try to create chances while at the same time I don't think they will do it blindly and still take card of the defense first. Mechelen is a team I found was overperforming so far and ther international break came at a bad time as they aside from Schoofs who by far was their most important player also lost Pflucke. So they now have a rather young inexperienced team with many 'cheap' players and I do see them at some point get in a negative spiral where they are unable to win a match especially away from home. I do expect a match where Standard puts in a lot of work early on trying to go forward but with limited risk not to get countered by Mechelen. I took 0.4 units on
1st Half under 1 @ 2.006 with an eye to lower my exposure on it at some point. I also took 0.18 units on
Standard 1st Half +0 @ 1.860 along with 0.3 units in
Standard Corners +0.5 @ 1.834. Mechelen only won 1 corners matchup so far while Standard only got curshed on the corners in specific situations away where they took an early lead against La Louviere and where they played away against a much better Union. I also took 74 USDC as a small extra Crypto bet on
