It's the last week of the Regular Season and all matches are played at the same time which always makes it hard to get a lot of volume in. So I'm not going to put much pressure on myself and I will see how it all goes. Here are my Thoughts along with some bets on all of the matches...
Club Brugge vs KV Mechelen
Brugge can still end 1st in the Regular season if they win today and Union loses. They will be without Hans Vanaken who is a key player and it needs to be seen how they replace his as he's usually the first on the sheet and never misses matches. This season at home they are 4.5W-7L-4P against the asian handicap and winning matches with blowout scores has become a rare thing in the Belgian league. Mechelen last week managed to quality for playoff 1 and the for sure partied a bit even though I do think they will be focused for this match with an eye on an European ticket also wanting to see how well they potentially hold up in playoff 1. They have been a team who have overperformed and I also don't exclude that playoff 1 will turn out in a nightmare scenario. This said Without Vanaken and not really a history of blowing opponents away, I did take a tinu 0.126 unit bet on
KV Mechelen +2 @ 1.752 which just feels like a bit too high of a handicap.
Dender vs AA Gent
Both teams pretty much need the win here as Dender is 9 points behind to avoid the relegation test match against the 2nd division team. AA Gent can reach playoff 1 if they win or Genk fails to win their match. A draw for them doesn't do anything whatsoever so it should be a pretty offensive match with also possible collapse scenarios. I did take 0.08 units on
AA Gent -1 @ 3.402, 0.120 units on
AA Gent Team Total Over 1.25 @ 1.780 and 0.1 unit on
Over 2.75 @ 2.123. This one could potentially go both ways but I do expect goals inside of the 90 minutes since a draw doesn't get either side much further.
OH Leuven vs Antwerp
OHL sits just above the playdowns and have everything in their own hands today. There also will be no major stress since the gap between Dender is massive. Last week, they also had to win away against Charleroi and their coach surprisingly opted for a defensive approach in a match that turned out into an orchestrated hold up. To me, a lot depends on if Verlinden will start the match or not as he by far is the most dangerous player. Antwerp recently has turned very defensive again and are not really a fun team to watch. I would not be surprised if today they have a similar approach to OHL last week and crawl back hoping to strike on the counter. My main lean on this match is to take OHL on the 1st Half corners but I need to see the line-up for it first. I also don't exclude a hold-up scenario where OHL is the better team and attacks only to get scored on in transition on the first chance Antwerp gets. For now,

Standard vs Westerlo
Standard only has a theoretical chance to reach playoff 1 as they are 10+ goals behind on the goal saldo. It's also a small miracle that they are still in contention as they haven't really shown that much this season. They mainly have been playing defensively while lacking real scoring power. Westerlo has been on a great run but they ended up losing the match against Club Brugge which puts them out of contention for playoff 1. The big question is how motivated they will be in this final away match of the regular season. I do see them as the better side. I did take a small 0.14 unit bet on

Anderlecht vs Cercle Brugge
Unless Anderlecht loses today and both Gent and Genk win the last one with a monster score they are safe. Cercle Brugge has a Playdown spot locked after losing last week and they fired their coach who already has been replaced by Lars Friis. So it should be a coach change shock effect potentially while Cercle Brugge is a team certainly with their qualities. Their issue is that they too often make mistakes while they miss a killer in front. Anderlecht will be without Bertaccini & Saliba while Llansan is injured but they have enough options to deal with these missings. They switched having an impossible time to score a goal with scoring freely way above the xg (11 goals in 3 matches) while last week failing to score again. So it's anyones guess how they will do today. A new coach often means that defense is put straight first. I just don't feel comfortable to get involved in this one yet.

Sint-Truiden vs Union SG
Union needs a draw to be certain of the 1st place in the regular season which already guarantees an European spot. They once again managed to win last week at home but they clearly lacked creativity and it wasn't an easy victory. On the road, they have just not been that great as they have a 3.5W-9.5L-1P record against the asian handicap. So today they somewhat have a mission before the start of the playoffs to turn this away complex around. Stvv has been the revelation of the season and they are only at 6 points of Union and 3 of Club Brugge. Last week, they faced a defensive Genk and weren't able to get much going as their failed to create much chances. Today should be similar as Union has the best defense of the league and always play with focus on that. I expect a match where neither team is really going to be willing to leave much space and took 0.135 units on

Zulte-Waregem vs Charleroi
Zulte-Waregem made a mistake firing their coach as good football with no results turned into poor more defensive football without a result as they lost with a 2-0 score last week from AA Gent which pushed them inside a playdown spot. Only a win will do if they want to avoid the playdowns while other teams also need to have poor results. the main question is if they willplay more offensive from the start unlike last week or play defensive again hoping on a counter or an end offense to make the difference. Charleroi has been in a big decline after a good period and now have an impossible time to win a match. Last week, they were better compared to OHL but got punished on the counter as they failed to finish their chances. Today, they don't really have much to play for so the motivation will be a big question mark. In their last 2 matches they had high xg created at 2.58 & 2.08 while on the road in the last 2 games they got 2.10 & 2.03xg against. So I kind of expect a match were eventually there will be goals even though I'm not sure if it will start off that hot. So I keep the over in mind going into this one.

La Louviere vs Genk
Genk pretty much needs a win and hope AA Gent doesn't to still get inside playoff 1. They didn't have the best preparation with a losing match ahainst Freiburg picking up some fatigue likely also especially as it was an away match. Only a win will do today which they have to do away against La louviere who have an artificial pitch and where many teams previously really struggled. Most likely it will be Genk taking the offense and La Louviere trying their chance on the counters. At the same time, the coach of La louviere said that he wants to play more offensively. This one could go both ways and I'm opting to just stay away for now.
