I was not the Friday that I hoped for as the main bet (despite having really good closing line value) ended up losing. Over the entire match it was deserved even though things could have gone totally different if Zulte scored the penalty they got for the 1-1. Overall it was a good lesson that the 'shock effect angle' is not really in place when a team who are playing good and deserve more get their coach fired as they were now actually worse off with the new one. Charleroi vs OH Leuven
Charleroi pretty much is safe even if they lose the next couple matches while they have no shot at playoff 1. So they both have no stress but also nothing left to play for. They have gotten in a bad streak after the coach change gave a shock effect followed by the coach fielding a B-Squad which broke the flow. They kind of did manage to break their losing streak with a 2-2 draw away against Dender in a match where they aimed to win without making it look good. I expect since they are safe, they now will aim much more to show something in front of their fans so they should be willing to go forward. OHL is one of the teams who are 6 points behind Charleroi but even if they take 6 on 6 they have a worse goal saldo and still will finish below. Their main target is Zulte-Waregem who lost yesterday. They are left with a home match against Antwerp and a draw today would still put them below Zulte as they have a worse goal Saldo. So I do think that OHL will aim today to take the 3 points. They are on a 3-game losing streak which included a match against Club Brugge where they played a good 1st half, Anderlecht where they gave it away early in the 2nd half, and last at home against Westerlo which was a flattering win. It showed that they don't easily score against a defensive block. They also will miss Schrijvers today who is important. Overall, I see the motivational edge for OHL and the away win at the end of the season would by no means be a surprise. A draw would make it so that (in case both Cercle x2 and Zulte x1 lose their next matches) a draw against Antwerp would save them which is noth something that is likely to happen so they can't speculate on that and go for the win putting things into their own hands on the last day. This made me take 0.18 units on
OHL -0.5 @ 4.470. OHL over the last 4 matches is 5th in the xg created ranking at 1.64 while Charleroi is dead last in the xg against ranking the last 4 matches at 2.22xg. So I'm also looking at OHL team Total over and already took 0.2 units on
OHL Team Total Over 1 @ 1.900. In their last 6 matches, they created 9-7-4-7-5-7 corners so that is also an option especially of they would fall behind.
Union vs Dender
Dender remains dead last in the league with 8 points behind so a real miracle is needed for them to avoid the test match against the 3rd team in the Challenger League to avoid relegation. Still, there are 8 matches to go in the playdowns against direct rivals and especially La Louviere which could still save them in case they manage to get in a good streak. So today, taking a point would already be a win and I expect them to start the match with the intention to play for that. Union is 3 points clear of Club Brugge and they are going to want to keep that lead to finish the regular season as champion which already guarantees an European Ticket. There have been signs that they aren't as good as last season and they have had a more difficult time to cover their handicaps at home while they now still miss David. I see a match where Dender mainly tries to keep the 0-0 score as long as possible while Union has control patiently trying to break that defense. Once they score a goal, the 2nd should always follow since Dender will need to switch to taking risk and a clean home win also would not be the biggest surprise. So I was willing to side with Union and tooka cautios initial 0.2 units on
Union -1.5 @ 1.969 which feels a bit too high. If the odds rise in-game, I might scale in a bit more. I also expect more corners for Union but that line is adjusted and them taking the lead early might bring that in danger.
Westerlo vs Club Brugge
Westerlo after recently getting in a good streak got themselves in a position with nothing to lose where they potentially still can make it into playoff 1. However, a win today is a must for that scenario to play out. So I expect them to go for it without any fear at home against Club Brugge. The big question is how they will approach this as they aren't the counter team while going forward would leave them vulnerable. Club Brugge is a team who has the most difficult time when facing a low block as they are vulnerable on counters and rarely keep the clean sheet. I don't think it's impossible for Westerlo to pull an offset here today at home and took just 0.07 units on
Westerlo -0.5 @ 5.679. At some point, big risks will need to be taken unless they are in the lead so I'm also leaning on an over but I'm leaving that for in-game as the pre-gale line is adjusted to the situation. I also took 0.08 units on

From the results point of view they were spot on, I probably would't take OHL again if I could though. That match made up in a way for Zulte-Waregem losing in the last second a couple weeks back.
