Very slow start of the week with only some minor betting action so far and to broke break even. More action on Saturday and Sunday with quite some matches that have got me excited. Here are my views along with the bets that I took on the Saturday Action...
Zulte-Waregem vs Dender
Zulte-Waregem started the season as overperformers but this has by now regressed to the mean. last week, they deserved more than the 0-1 loss against Westerlo in a match that started fairly open and where Zulte Pushed after getting behind. The week before they were pushed back by Club Brugge but managed to keep the chances against quite limited in a 1st half where they somehow goy the 1-2 lead to still narrowly lose it at the end. In the home match before that, they put in an excellent performance against a Racing Genk who played way too defensive in the 1st half out of fear for counters. The week before, they also deserved more awat against Antwerp. Away against Union they were not without chance but failed to finish the opportunities that they got. So overall they have been taking less points than what they deserve recently which now put them in 12th place and 2 points clear of the playdowns. Dender is still last in the standings and have a mentality to give themselves a fighting chance at the start of the playdowns. They can however use a win as a point doesn't really get that that much further. Last week, they started really poor against Genk who made the difference early while Dender managed to still fight back. They played a good first half away against Anderlecht willing to go forward while in the 2nd half they were pushed back still managing to keep the 0-0 score. At home against Antwerp they managed to take a narrow win. Overall I think this will be a match where both teams are going to want to go for it and I have a small lean on the Over, the Dender Corners Team Total Over, & Zulte-Waregem at the -0.25 line. None of them to the extent that I'm willing to really go for it though and I'm just leaving all the betting for in-game as there are plenty of options to possibly get better lines or odds.

Charleroi vs Cercle Brugge
Charleroi has been one of the hot teams lately and they managed to keep Union at a 0-0 draw in the mid-week cup match. They also are inside of a playoff 1 spot now after 4 wins in a row and the main question today is how the cup match will influence their performance. There might be both focus or fatigue issues while at the same time this might be fully countered by the good flow they are in so I can't really count it either way. They are without Bernier and I expect them to just play the same A-Squad as they are in the hunt for a playoff 1 spot with Cercle Brugge as an opponent who they should be able to beat. Cercle Brugge have been underperformers in the league but they showed some sparks of hope recently but also an off-day last weekend against Antwerp mainly because of an early red card. In their recent matches, they always started with forward intentions and I expect something similar today. However, they don't succeed in creating too many chances at 0.08/0.4/0.49/1.53 xg created in their last 4 matches which puts them at the bottom of those rankings. At the same time, they gave away 3.97 (red card)/0.95/1.28/2.27xg in those matches ranking them at the bottom there. So as much as Cercle Brugge is a team I kind of want to back at the moment, the momentum of both teams combined with the xg stats makes me stay away. Charleroi has been an overish corners team going to at least 9 corners in all of their last 12 matches while their opponents always managed to create quite some. That is what I will be keeping an eye on to possibly take early on in the match. Right now, here also in this one
No Pre-Game Bets
AA Gent vs OH Leuven
AA Gent has some good results lately which puts them in a playoff 1 spot at the moment. They took a fair 1-1 draw away against La Louviere which is always difficult. They were extremely efficient away against a weak Standard which gave an exagerrated score. Thir coach went all or nothing late against Anderlecht which paid off. that match showed that they are not 100% solid yet. Against Westerlo, they showed that they are capable of playing defense and locking things down when in the lead. OHL this season has been a serial underperformer to the point where they simply aren't good enough and deserver to be in a playdown spot. They mainly played from the reaction since mazzu came but that backfired and he wanted to play more from the action which also isn't really working. They gave away a 2-0 lead last week against Mechelen, managed to keep Union at a 0-0 draw at home, took a close 1-0 loss against Stvv in a match where they were not horrible and where they also didn't build a wall which gave 1.96-1.76xg. I don't expect OHL to try and build a wall today and in case they would be in the lead late, AA Gent should once again go full risk. These teams rank #2 & #3 in overall xg in their last 4 matches. I took a very cautious initial bet of 0.1 unit on
Over 2.5 @ 1.907 hoping to some more in-game either on a better line/odds or late in case AA Gent needs to score. Betting on OHL always feels like a gamble so I'm opposing them at what feels like a reasonably soft line on a home team that has been in a good form. 0.12 units on
