It was a solid European Mid-week making around 0.7 units of profit from the 3 matches which I fully covered on the SBC Discord as always sharing all of my bets. It's not sure to me if tonight there actually will be a broadcast of the match with the entire Dazn Drama but I just continue my flow assuming I will be able to watch the match and in worst case I will follow it on the radio.
Mechelen vs Standard
Mechelen is coming off 3 matches against top teams where they managed to take 4 on 12 with overall quite ok performances expecially in the last 2 matches and at home. They are currently 5th in the standings but as it always goes for them, it would be a surprise to see them end in playoff 1. They remain a quite reliable over corners team especially at home or if they fall behind so that is one of the things that I keep in mind. They have been quite average though on xg created but are 2nd last in xg against at 1.77 on average this season and 2.71. At the same time they are still very negative on the covering the total line at just 5W-9L-1P on the season showing similar numbers home and away.Especially at home they have 78% of their goals in the 2nd half with just 0.57 on average in the 1st. In their last home match against a mediocre team, they played 1-1 which was a fair score as whenever they take the lead they tend to crawl back too much. Generally they have entertaining matches that are fun to watch. Standard when it comes down to form is last of the pack at the moment and it's a small miracle that they are still in 10th place. They have a hard time to score against an ok defense and didn't get passed Zulte at home playing most of the match with 11 vs 10 and despite the 2.2xg they managed to create. Their coach is rather defensive and they are best when they sit back and lure on the counters which is the most likely match picture for today. Standard continues to have many missing players in Fossey, Abid, Said, Ilaimaharitra which is why I give the edge to Mechelen today. I did take cautious bets of 0.1 unit on
