The international break is over and I also took somewhat a break here on Hive as I was away last weekend and I also have been getting bullied here with downvotes which make no sense whatsoever.
Standard vs Antwerp
The thing that these 2 teams have in common is that they kind of lack quality with coaches that take a more defensive approach to still get points. They are at equal points near the playdown spots at 11 points. A Win would put them much more comfortable but at the same time a loss against a direct rival is something both are going to want to avoid. So I much more likely see a match where for both the fear to lose is a lot bigger compared to the will to win. Standard overall has been an under team but at home they are around break even on it against their lines, Antwerp however is 5W-0L away from home against the under and I don't expet their coach all of a sudden to play wide open. They also suffer some injuries with especially Praet and Kerk who are key players in the offense. My main bets on this match will be on the under which I see as just a bit too high, with a scenario where both fear and lack of quality in front of the goal is likely. I took 0.3 units each on

Under 2.5 @ 1.841. I do see Standardas the team who likely will take the most initiative while Standard won their last 3 home 1st Half corner matchups and Antwerp lost their last 3 corners 1st half macthups away. So also 0.14 units on

Well Antwerp is underperforming, while they did sell soem key players,I did expect the, to do better. Standard is for me performing as expected.
If I would to have to place a bet on it, I would go for the over.
But I can't watch the game, both sons are playing this evening, so I already need to split myself in half :)

Thanks Peter, the thing I like about Unders is that it's often possible to get out with profit if the general game picture is not favorable or to slowly reduce the exposure along the way in case there would be some goals falling out of the air from deflected balls or stupid penalties. I'm looking forward to the season to resume tonight.

It did, he started last season again. The knee is holding, so far so good.
However I do think that his overall quality has decreased with 25%. But at least he understands now, the he will never be a pro, just enjoys football again.
