Saturday was a good start with 2 Highlighted bets which produced a push and a winner which puts me in the green. I continue to be cautios and I also already took a medium position with 2 crypto bets for next week.

AA Gent vs Kv Mechelen

So AA Gent already played 3 matches in Europe, which showed that they still have a long way to go offensively but have things in order pretty well on the defensive end keeping a clean sheet 3 times. Their coach also hammers on it. They are now in between european matches and I assume some substitutions mainly in the offensive end. Kv Mechelen last season was one of the overperforming teams but also at times showed good things. They kept their coach and lost both Halal and Servais while they signed Praet as the main enforcement. They were hit by multiple injuries before the start of the season and Antonio, Boersma, St Jago, koudou, Ozdemir are all unavailable. I do expect them to have an ok season but also that they would be happy today to just sign for a draw if they could. I don't expect this to be a wide-open match with lots of finishing quality but more a match where Defense is stronger than the offense on both sides. I did take rather cautious bets of 0.2 units on Under 2.5 @ 1.961 / 0.1 unit on 1st Half Under 1 @ 2.120, & 0.1 unit on Kv Mechelen Team Total Under 1 @ 1.870 but I also won't hesitate to reduce exposure or get out of these positions if needed. I will be looking for some kind of confirmation and possibly increase my stakes a bit more. I also took 0.091 units on OHL +2 Corners @ 1.950

Charleroi vs OH Leuven

Charleroi lost both Titraoui and Camara who were both key players and they kept their team without really being enforced so I expect they a bit worse compared to last season where they did not manage to beat the asian handicaps going 9W-15.5L-5.5P against them. They still have a capable team though. OH Leuven has year after year been the team with potential but too much mediocraty and many different coaches who could not make a difference also always playing too cautiously and passively. This time they have Timmy Simmons and I kind of have a hunch that he might get the fire into them. He is a rather offensive coach with energy and lots of risk when it's needed at the end. So I kind of see OH Leuven turning from a sligh under team to possibly an over team this season. I also think they are not without a chance to win away against Charleroi and took 0.4 units split between 0.18 units on OH Leuven Team Total Over 0.75 @ 1.810 / 0.12 units on Over 2.5 @ 1.810, & 0.1 unit on OH Leuven +0.5 @ 2.075

Zulte-Waregem vs Genk

Zulte-Waregem had a really good season last year but started to drift away near the end. Their coach was changed and Michael Beale was taken in who is an englishman and a big unknown and feels like more like taken because he once was an assistant at liverpool. Zulte also lost their most important player Jeppe Erenbjerg to Genk and I would not be surprised if they had a really difficult season. Genk is the team that alternates the most between a really good season and a rather bad one. Last year they played in Europe and just struggled too hard with the balance in the team while the year before when they did not have European duty they at least started the season super good. The European load is a massive factor and the fact that they don't have this now makes me believe that they will beat the asian handicap and profit would be the result of just backing Genk Blindly in each match. Their preparation however was not best still getting too many goals against. They also lost key player Karetsas but did 2 big transfers with Durosinmi who should help them with the goal production properly replacing Tolu & Onuachu who had that role previously. It remains to be seen how quickly he will make the difference. They also got Erenbjerg but their midfield is already stacked. Defensively not that much has changed with still some potential issues on the defensive midfield position. The coach of Zulte was aquired for his offensive style and ability to develop young players, & Genk by nature also plays forward. So I do expect an attractive match. I did take a tiny intial bet of just 0.1 unit on Over 3.5 @ 2.929 as Genk should be capable but might also be vulnerable again in defense.

Anderlecht vs La Louviere

Anderlecht already played 3 matches which left a generally positive impression overall and also helped them get match rythm already. They by no means have any chance to be a real title contender and might still be very unreliable which was seen in the previous matches where at times it was bad but then later it was very good. They have scoring abilities with Cvetkovic mainly who is standing out and their coach really brings out passion and drive. La louviere is a team with a lot of transfers and have a new coach. So it's had to compare them to last season as many of the players on the pitch will be different compared to last season. I would not be surprised if they had a rather defensive aproach and still fell short. It also remains Anderlecht at home who have shown ok form against a relegation candidate with lots of questionmarks. So the odds for La Louviere to out of nowhere here have a great performance don't feel that high to me. I split 0.3 units between 0.1 unit on Anderlecht 1st Half -0.25 @ 1.920 / 0.1 unit on Anderlecht -0.75 @ 1.977 / Anderlecht Team Total Over 1.5 @ 1.850 all with an eye to possible increase on the stakes in-game.

Antwerp vs Beveren

Antwerp finally got a new owner and a new chapter but it's aso kind of left in a ruin with a squad that showed last year that it's simply not good enough. They also lost Janssen, Praet, Van Den Bosch, Kerk, Kouyaté. Foulom is also injured and the enforcements wer Frey (will he be as free scoring and many years ago, I doubt), and Salah formerly from AA Gent. Basically they have a lot of work cut out for them and it might take a while. Their fans will be happy with the new chapter which should give them the home advantage. I would not be surprised if the overall quality today was just too low. Beveren had a superb year in the Challenger pro league staying unbeaten and I would not be surprised if they would keep going on that momentum with a good start in the league before reality kicks in. I did only take 0.1 unit on Waasland Beveren +0.5 @ 1.953 as I missed the early +0.75 line.
